The Ray Hotel and Studios

Not recommended at all! One star is just SO much for this hotel! Something very bad happened with us yesterday at the pool. Yesterday we wanted to go to the pool with my sister’s family ( they live abroad) and i was telling them about The Ray since we know it well and my sister stayed in the hotel for two days in two rooms We arrived to the pool and payed the entrance, once in, a man came and told us that the kid’s floaties are not allowed in knowing that my sister’s son is less than one year old With no clarification, we went to ask the guy on the reception he said no worries u can use it in the kids pool only When we went to the kids pool with the floaties, a man came and started shouting and told us to remove them or else take ur money and leave The way we were treated was horrible and unacceptable I went twice to get my money back, and each time they told me its ok We were kicked out officially and this is not normal to happen There are no instructions at the door, nothing written, how would we know And btw the pool was full of hair and oil

The Ray made my trip enjoyable, the staff were very accommodating and the rooms clean. A perfect location for me.

I found the staff to be friendly, but the one thing that I did not like was how they did not honor my reservation that I made with *******. My reservation included a breakfast but upon arrival the hotel said that the price was not correct and I would need to pay for the breakfast. I had to find other means for food because the price for breakfast was way over priced.

It is my second time staying at the ray hotel. I had alt of fun stuff Are amazing front desk,Restaurant, the whole stuff was perfect. Thank you for your hard work. Nawal Saab

I made a reservation through *********** at The ray Hotel for 8 nights early of April as my stay is on 16th of May ..the Hotel tried many times to charge my credit card I contacted the Hotel they mentioned that my reservation is Non Refundable and they must charge my credit Card earlier and they canceled my reservation I made another one Refundable with free cancellation they did the same scenario and tried to charge my credit card, I called the Hotel again (international calls cost me than room rate honestly ) and they recommended to cancel my reservation through *********** and decided to make it through Hotel directly they mentioned this is the only way to stop trying to charge your credit card!! They kept pushing to cancel the reservation through *********** We arrived the Hotel early the staff was very nice upon Check In and gave early check IN , but unfortunately I was surprised as there was 20% Commission for credit card payment As we checked and called hotel before if we can pay by credit card no one mentioned Commission !!!! Standard Room view is miserable and noisy we can’t sleep because front of the parking moreover no privacy we asked to change the room to a same category with quite & better view as we are a honeymooners as well and they kept mentioning that there is …..said will do their best at the first day to change the room, they offered a 600$ for the whole stay for upgrading us only to the next category…the second day we passed to the front desk and they offered 300$ …third day I showed them that *********** offers totally different rate for supplement at 110$ so they made a discounted rate as booking and this was inconvenient!!! Moreover I asked for invoice until now I did not receive it !!! I am very disappointed and I can’t trust Hotel again! This is not professional at all.
