Holiday Inn Express BRUSSELS - GRAND-PLACE by IHG

Overall, I was quite satisfied. The bed was pretty big. It was a little noisy at night because it's facing the street, but everything else was fine. Brussels isn't very big, so getting around to places was quite convenient.

The hotel's location is great, right near the Grand Place, and public transport is very convenient. When I checked in, I noticed the AC in the room wasn't blowing cold air. I reported it to the daytime front desk, and they said they would restart the air conditioning system. However, when I returned to the room at night, the AC still wasn't working. I reported it again to the night shift front desk, who informed me that the AC on the 4th floor was broken and suggested I could use a fan for the night. The next day, when checking out, I brought it up to the staff again. They gave me the hotel's business card and asked me to email the hotel manager, stating they would assist with a refund for the room charge. This resolution was far from ideal; knowing the AC on the floor was broken, they should have offered to move me to a different room directly.

The room was clean and tidy, and nearby attractions were within walking distance. We could open the windows, and there was a kettle. Breakfast was delicious and varied, especially the milk. There were plenty of dining options nearby, and the closest subway station was just a few minutes' walk away, making transportation very convenient.
