Best Hotels near Paroisse Saint Gervais Saint Protais, Bry-sur-Marne

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very centrally located, just a stones throw away from the Metro. We enjoyed an amazing view too. The pictures don't do the hotel justice. My only gripe is that instead of supplying proper shower gel/bodywash they just give tidy 10ml packets. We were 2 people staying for 2 nights and this just simply wasn't enough. Housekeeping did not replenish them.

I had a regrettable room, with a single bed, a box and a table, a bathroom, which was inviable and untreated as well as the rest, dirty wall paper that gives a sense of trouble and wires to view everywhere. The WLAN is not available, which works through a Qr Code that has expired or does not exist, and my room had only one window and was on a lightless indoor and helped to make a sense of claustrophobia. Heating lighted and unregulable in mid April made it all more difficult, forced me to light a dust-flashing fan. Indecent price quality ratio, as well as staff care and misleading images that are used in Paris to attract customers.

This comfortable and beautiful hostel is so near the Bercy Bus and Train station. You can go the city center and all tourists places via metro, buses in a very short time. There are several good restaurants and cafes near the hostel to eat or have a drink. The room stayed was so clean and comfortable. It also had a balcony. The staff are so kind, understanding,smiled-face and helpful people. I thank them all. If you want to visit Paris for a couple of days as a solo traveller like me, this beautiful, peaceful and safe hostel is a great place for you. I strongly recommend it.

The staff is welcome and listening to you. The hotel is very clean and pleasant. You will find restaurants, bowling and an olympic pool with indoor and outdoor pool nearby. The hotel has a closed parking. The breakfast is complete and willing. In one way as the other you can make beautiful walks along the Marne.

In Paris you tend to get what you pay for so if you book a budget hotel, lower your expectations!! That said, this hotel was quite a pleasant surprise. When I got to my room it was very clean, with a comfy bed and basic looking shower that actually supplied plentiful hot water. The guys at reception were pleasant. They let me drop my bag off prior to check in and let me leave it for a bit after I checked out. For sure there is noise from the street but as a city girl, I was not bothered and it was not excessive. Because the floors are not carpeted (they have new looking lino type floors) the noise from someone upstairs who did not take their shoes off was much more distracting!! The stairs could do with a good scrub to be more aesthetically pleasing but as I wasn't sleeping on them I didn't care. Super close to the Metro at La Chappell and an easy walk to Gare de I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on that. All in all, much better than I expected and I would stay again

The room is small, typical commercial hotel, no slippers, no toiletries. Breakfast is a typical white meal, there are fewer types, more general, no hot meals

Cost-effective, the surrounding residential areas are also very quiet, will stay again

I had a really good stay here. The other travellers were really friendly. I felt very safe. We hardly bumped into each other in our rooms due to everybody waking and sleeping at different times, but they were respectful in the morning and nights. The rooms were big and the beds were huge! The shared bathrooms were really clean and modern and the showers were really hot (or cold). It was mostly all students staying here or young people, however I did come across a few older people staying, one in my room. Lots of languages are spoken here. Lots of french mainly. I am English. There was also a Spanish speaking guy in my room, and a guy from Thailand. I stayed for three nights. The first time in a 6 bed female dorm and the last two in an 8 bed mixed room. Everybody is super friendly. The staff are friendly, there's lots of them. And there is big spaces with tables to study or eat and chat with each other.
