Folkestone Inn

Had a great time, great hosts and great breakfast. House is lovely and clean, Grounds are well kept and beautiful. We love to stay at B&B's some are better than others this one I put near the top of the list. Being near Bryson City is a plus take a ride on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad while you are there.

If your looking for peace and quiet in a lovely setting, Folkstone Inn is the place. Bed was very comfortable and Tony and Scott outdid themselves with the delicious breakfasts they served. It's so convenient to go tubing at Deep Creek and not far from the Great Smokie Mountain railroad and park. Hope to get back there in the fall. The chickens roaming around the property add to the country feel of the place. Loved it!

Absolute 5-Star stay. Breakfast every morning was absolutely amazing - eggs from hens on the property, house-made bacon, home-made breads - breakfast exceeded expectations every single day. The house was gorgeous and the rooms were comfortable and clean and decorated beautifully. The property views were stunning. Every detail was thought of - a microwave and full-size refrigerator for guests to use, a game room stocked with cards, board games, etc, a library stocked with books/pamphlets on regional day-trip ideas - I could go on and on. Will absolutely stay here again and again.

Everything about our stay was awesome! The room was perfect, the breakfast was outstanding, the surroundings were beautiful! Close enough to Bryson city to get to places quickly but far enough away to enjoy being surrounded by nature. Would definitely visit again.

My husband is an avid fly fisherman, so we decided to travel to Bryson City where the fishing is great. We looked at various places to stay and chose Folkestone Bed & Breakfast because it had excellent reviews and seemed quiet and peaceful. We were not disappointed! Our room was very comfortable, the front porch rockers lulled one of us to sleep haha, and the breakfasts were simply awesome. Although the house seems to be in the country, it is a very short drive into town for dinners and shopping. Hiking opportunities abound very close to the Inn. If we find ourselves going back to Bryson City, we know we will stay at Folkestone B&B.

Our recent stay at the Folkestone Inn was my second visit. The home seems to be well maintained and furnishings are nice. It is located about 5 minutes (by car) from the center of Bryson City. The breakfasts have always been outstanding and they seem to be different every day. Although we enjoyed our stay there are two issues that guests should be aware of. The rooms are mostly fairly small so there is relatively little open floor space in most of the rooms. Our room did have a chair, but it was more comfortable to use the living room when I was reading. The home is not easily accessible for guests who have problems with gait or balance. The walkway leading to the house has flagstones that are slightly uneven and the steps leading to the porch are somewhat unevenly spaced, a problem that is not unusual for older homes. The bathrooms that I have seen have free-standing bathtubs enclosed by a wrap-around shower curtain. Guests who have difficulties with balance may struggle to use the showers since there is no grab-bar. Our room did have a step-stool that could be used to facilitate stepping into the bathtub.

We enjoyed another wonderful stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast! The breakfast is amazing! It is a great location to enjoy all the things the area has to offer. The owners, Toni and Scott, are wonderful hosts and have made this a welcome spot for a relaxing getaway.

The Inn was very quaint and homey. Toni was very welcoming and the food was excellent! Our room was decorated very authentic, however, the room and the attached bath were very small. Loved the location as it was very quiet and had many spots to sit and enjoy nature, including the rooster, and it's just a few minutes from town. I highly recommend the Folkestone Inn.

This was a great B&B! The hosts were wonderful and the location was amazing. The house and our room was fantastic. We would definitely recommend this property to others. The breakfasts were wonderful. If you like B&Bs stay at this one!
