A pleasant place to stay. The pool was a relaxing place to spend some time in the afternoon before dinner. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Having a kitchenette was great we were able to make breakfast instead of going out everyday.

Excellent location in a quiet part of Bucerias. Close to great restaurants and beach. Hotel was clean, safe and quiet. Rooftop pool is amazing.

We loved our trip. The Hotel Refugio Del Mar Hotel was wonderful. It was so peaceful there. We will definitely go back again.

My sister and I visited Bucerias in April Reffugio del Mar is in a great spot in town.. Just two blocks from the beach. As soon as you enter through the private gate you see the courtyard/pool- so quaint! The beds are comfy, A/C works great and the pool area is adorable. We will be visiting again next year.

Amazing property. Excellent owner, staff and amenities. Free use of beach chairs, umbrellas, and Specualized bikes! Loved the personal touches. The pool and grounds are immaculate and peaceful. Our unit had a washer and dryer so you can easily pack lite and throw things in the wash. It’s 2 blocks from the beach and close to several incredible restaurants. I would highly recommend the Refugio del Mar.

My husband and I stayed at Refugio del Mar this past week for a couple of nights while we were visiting friends who live in the area. We have been big travelers over the past 20 years, staying in many hotels and VRBOs and B&Bs. This little boutique refuge is up there with the best for overall comfort, amenities and enjoyment. Check in was quick and easy, Jorge made us feel right at home and oriented us to the local shops that he recommended we visit for items we might need. Our one bedroom suite would have been suitable for a lengthy stay, and had a full kitchen and laundry. Clean in all areas of the suite, comfy but firm bed, and standard of finish in the suite felt very appropriate for what we paid. Pictures online are accurate. The local area felt safe and locals are friendly. Bucerias is a perfect little town for anyone wanting to escape the bustle of PV. Short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches we've walked along.

Everything was perfect, the location, great staff, cleanliness of the facility, surrounding restaurantes and shops. Beach is only 1.5 blocks away. Very safe and very charming town. It was our second time and we will be back soon. Thank you Jorge and the staff or the big help to make our holiday relaxing and fun.

Our stay at Refugio Del Mar in Bucerias, Mexico, was exceptional, offering a peaceful retreat with its quiet yet central location. The hotel features three amazing pools and provides complimentary bicycles and beach chairs, enhancing our experience of the local culture and beaches. The staff was remarkably friendly, contributing to a welcoming a**osphere, and our room was both spacious and immaculately clean. We loved our 8 day stay at the beautiful Refugio del Mar in Bucerias! We stayed in Big John, which is one of the larger units that features 2 bedrooms with king sized (very comfy) beds, 2 bathrooms (both with fabulous spacious showers), living room (with a pull-out bed), kitchen, washer/dryer, private balcony overlooking the street and a huge shared patio overlooking the gorgeous and immaculate courtyard and pool. The property is gated, and you can only enter after being buzzed in. The beach is just a couple blocks down the street, as well as the town taxi service. Jorge, the manager, is a wealth of information and is always ready to provide assistance or recommendations. The owner, Carlos, dropped everything he was doing one day to drive my mom and me in his truck to a nearby bank. The only thing he would consider taking as a "thank you" was a shot of tequila, lol. I highly recommend the small restaurant directly across the street, Los Tejabanes, for breakfast and lunch. Eddie and his family provided fabulous, authentic Mexican meals that we enjoyed multiple times during our stay.
