Campanile Troyes Sud - BUCHÈRES

Good stop off point on a long journey to the alps.

Very disappointed with this hotel. The rooms was very cramped and had a horrible smell. The whole place looked tired and tatty. Staff were slow in dealing with check in. The evening meal was poor value and we had to ask staff for the drinks we'd ordered as they forgot about them. The location was good for us but we wouldn't come back and wouldn't recommend it.

To be honest, we didn’t actually stay here. It looked so awful when we arrived we decided to forego our money and stay elsewhere. Location wise, this place would only be suitable I think if all you want to do is sleep as it is close to motorways but 20 mins from the town itself, which is an amazing old town and well worth a visit.. This hotel is very cheap, but for a reason - it actually looks like a prison! (We got an excellent hotel in the centre of town - the OKKO - which I would highly recommend.)

Was an easy detour off the motorway and back on again in the morning. Bathroom ok and had all you needed. Bedroom a little dirty and we had noise late night/early in the morning from deliveries

Very good location, fairly close to A5/A26 and easy to find. Rooms as you’d probably expect, fairly basic but fine with tea/coffee making facilities provided. Carpets in room a little grubby and could do with a good clean but ok for a single night. Not particularly private as other guests frequently passing outside windows on way to/from own room so reluctant to leave window open. Based upon good reviews opted for half board at E150 and was well worth it as the evening meal was very good indeed and the breakfast was good too. Very pleasant staff and very attentive and efficient during evening meal and breakfast. We’d probably return if the opportunity arose.

Good and bad Good points Restaurant on site Buffet had lots of choice, we didn't try breakfast. Air-conditioning Location to Troyes. 2 male bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Bad points Says book in from 12.00. We arrived at 14.00. One room still wasnt made up. Bed had been slept in. Checked with receptionist, who said it will be done. An hour later we had to find the cleaner ourselves and ask her to make up the room. She was lovely and did , despite that room not being on her list. 1 room the toilet was stained. We were ignored at dinner,, people arriving after us were served and eating. Had to go and ask waitress for service after 40 minutes of waiting. Price was fair.

Basic but acceptable Very basic. Old and tired buildings but quite adequate for quick stop overnight. Air con worked. Shower ok. Bed comfy

Hotel served its purpose , clean rooms and friendly staff , restaurants food not the best !!!
