Had to wait at the bar to check in as no staff around(14:30) and then shown to the doorway to the room. Room was small with a dangerous low sloping roof with no warning signs! The property is located on a very noisy road unfortunately, although it is in very convenient location en route to south Devon etc. Staff friendly but not as attentive as they could be!

The hotel was a joy to stay at. The staff are fabulous and Nicole at breakfast was so lovely. The food was really good and would recommend the Argento rose as a perfect end to the day. The bar staff would look after an open bottle for us in the fridge. The rooms were so comfortable and the bathroom was perfect and clean. I am definitely coming back on my next visit to Dartmoor. Thank you to all the staff for creating a welcoming hotel.

Disappointing for food. Expensive and poor quality. It used to be a great place for fish and chips at lunch with a large portion of battered cod. Now serving tapia (£14.50) as the fish rather than cod/haddock. The chips were barely single cooked rather than double cooked. The special was sausages(3) mash (£12.49) with caramelised onions which my wife had. Onions were missing and had to be requested. Had a pint of beer (Abbot), cloudy, and at £5.50 at London prices, was poor value. This used to be a great stopping-off place for a good value lunch in the past, but my advice now would be ‘keep on trucking’ and give it a miss!!

Nice enough hotel for a couple of nights. Decent food and a comfortable room albeit the traffic noise was a little intrusive. Staff were friend and Nicole an absolute star.

Very friendly and clean. Great food and beverages to choose from. Local to attractions which were kindly recommended by our breakfast waitress, nicole. Slept well and a nice touch of a fan being left in the room, was very thoughtful in this hot weather. Staff are very customer focused, remembering our orders from the night before even though it was busy.

We only stopped On route for lunch. Friendly staff, Really atmospheric pub. Food was great. I had the Salmon, one had Macaroni Cheese and the other a chicken, bacon and avocado ciabatta. Cannot fault it and highly recommend this place. Great Lunch in a great location

We've been visiting this pub for over 10 years but sadly its lost its way quite a bit the last couple of years, we've gone back a few times in hoping maybe they just had the odd blip or staffing issues, but it doesn't seem so. We booked a table of 4 adults 1 child for Fathers day, it wasn't particularly busy ( 3pm ), however we waited a while for food and a drinks order we placed while eating was completely lost! We waited over 20 minutes and asked for our drinks which took two members of staff to sort out with no apology. The food has really gone down hill, increased in price but much smaller portions, not a proper pub meal it used to be. The vibe from the staff has changed too, one particular member of the management team always remembered us and came over for a chat, sadly he hasn't been there for a while and the current team are nowhere near the level he was at. This was always our go to pub for Christmas day, birthday meals and other celebrations, eventhough we live over 45minutes away, sadly this will no longer be the case which is such a shame given how nice the food used to be here.

Really lovely, helpful, friendly but non imposing, staff. Lovely and clean. Food was all beautiful! Veggies, fresh and al dente. There is definitely the presence of dog in the air as you walk in, but it's minimal as everything is clearly kept clean and well maintained, which is great. Regardless of whether you love doggies or not, you want to eat in a clean environment, and we felt very comfortable and well cared for here.

My husband and I stayed at the Dartbridge Inn for 4 nights in the superior room which was extremely quiet and very spacious along with the ensuite. All areas of the Dartbridge Inn were very clean and tidy. We also had evening meals every night which were very good and the menu was very varied. You were spoilt for choice at breakfast and would be hard pushed to find something that you did not like. All the staff were extremely friendly and pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Parking was not a problem if you just wanted to pop in to have a coffee or a meal, plus there was a separate parking area for guests staying at the Dartbridge Inn. Would definitely recommend the Dartbridge Inn if you wanted to tour around south Devon and with easy access off the A38 it is a no brainer.
