I stayed here for one night when in Reigate on business. First impressions of the building are impressive but some aspects were disappointing for the £250 price tag. The hotel is set in a peaceful location, with good car parking and a friendly welcome on reception. My room was comfortable enough, although the bathroom was cramped and poorly lit, with no space to put toiletries, wash bag etc. There were a few ******* - dirty kettle with old water left in it, dirty teaspoons, lack of power sockets at the “desk” without unplugging the lamp or kettle - but my main gripe was the continuous noise and vibration from a door being allowed to slam shut directly beneath my room. It looked like it was the door from the lobby into the bar serving area that was the problem. Maybe fitting it with a soft closing mechanism would solve the problem? As it was, it was frequent and annoying all evening. On the positive side, the food in the bar was very good, as was the service, and once the bar door stopped banging, I had a decent sleep in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a tad disappointing for the price paid - service was okay but the buffet offering wasn’t what I was expecting in terms of quality or quantity - bog standard sliced white or brown bread? The room was also soulless, with only half of it set for breakfast and lacking in any atmosphere. Maybe have some low music in the background? All in all, a mixed bag. This is a lovely building in a peaceful location, with friendly staff and a decent food offering. However, for the £250 price, I’d expected more from the quality touches.

We stayed here as a special treat for our j 60 th Wedding anniversary. The Hotel is magnificent, set in beautiful grounds although due to inclement weather we couldn't enjoy the walks around. All the staff were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We had a Junior suite and the room was huge with a really comfy 6 foot bed. My only minus was that there was no plug socket near the enormous mirror for drying my hair. Our evening meal was wonderful and quite reasonable. Although being a Thursday there wasn't many guests but the breakfast was really good with great choices on the menu. We would certainly recommend a stay here in the Manor House

Went for a work event- a morning conference. Tea and coffee facilities were great and self service. The usual equipment on these days was provided flip charts and pens etc. note pads and pens for note taking. Morning fruit and pastries. My only criticisms were it was really cold in the room, despite increasing the heating. And other similar events I’ve been too, there is usually a fruit juice option alongside tea and coffee. We also had lunch which was beautifully cooked and this was also self service. Although the vegan, gluten free etc options were detailed, there was no allergen information.

We were recommended by my brother who has stayed at Hartsfield, and like him booked the Hartsfield Suite. The room although very nice was cold with no heating on, up to the point of going down for dinner still no heat. All radiators in the hallway off and in the dining room where other diners were complaining. I spoke to reception who said they had been told and heating would be on. This somewhat ruined what was a nice stay. Breakfast and dinner staff very good and food choice good. I was planning to hold a function in July for 50 people but now not so sure I would like the experience to be very good for a special occasion, but have concerns.

Avoid. Overpriced and obviously just caters for wedding guests who have no real choice. We stayed here to visit friends. Lodge double room. And when they say double, they mean 4ft 6 double. The headboard is bigger, a normal size for a hotel, but they bought cheap beds. So if you want a decent night’s sleep, don’t book here. The design of the room is done by someone on work experience. Bedside table? Yes, for one of you. One that’s too big for one side and nothing on the other. Able to call reception? Nope. You have to use your own phone and call in from an outside line. Dirty, stained hand towel. Toilet roll holder that’s too small for the rolls and facing the wrong way so every time you use the loo, the roll falls off and goes all over the floor. The towel radiator is on ‘furnace’ level, heating the whole neighbourhood, let alone your room. You don’t have to worry about the quilt being just big enough to lie flat on the tiny bed as the heat from the bathroom will be enough to give you the luxurious feeling of lying on a sun bed in the Mediterranean sun. The lodge isn’t really a ‘short’ walk from the hotel. I’d say it’s an inconvenient walk, so check in and then drive back. The walk to breakfast on a wet day will be a wet one as there is 1 umbrella between 5 rooms. And forget trying to call reception at midnight. No one answers the phone. Blinds that block light except the edges. No hooks near the shower so you can’t have your towel near by. This is not a good hotel. I hope their weddings are good.

Really expected more from such a lovely house I took a friend for afternoon tea but was disappointed the room was very warm and there were no windows open considering it was a lovely August day. The afternoon tea was plonked down in front of us with no explanation of what was on the plates, there were only three small sandwiches each and the scones were reheated and hard, the cake selection was boring. There was no one in the room most of the time so when we ran out of tea we had to go and ask at reception for more.

We stayed for one night at Hartsfield Manor on the occasion of a family wedding held there, and we loved everything about it. Our room was located in the Annex to the side of the main building, and it included a little porch with chairs and table leading out to a beautiful open green area. The room was clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom, toiletries, and tea/coffee-making facilities. The staff were efficient and friendly all throughout, and we had an amazing time at the wedding. The setting couldn't be any more magical, and we captured some great photos. The buffet breakfast the next morning was delicious. It was not included in the room rate but was still reasonably priced, and there was a choice of full English or continental. We really enjoyed our stay at Hartsfield and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this place!
