I visited in order to see family who had travelled to Budapest by plane, train and boat to get together. It was a lovely room - extremely spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and clean, plus the staff were wonderful - many thanks to Ferenc in particular for sorting out our stay. The hotel is exceptionally well located near the beautiful market and just round the corner from the Danube. It couldn't be better situated for trams, buses, the Metro and for restaurants and bars. The shower worked perfectly and was easy to use, the bed was really comfortable and I loved the mixture of old and new furnishings and the fascinating, atmospheric building. I couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Excellent wifi too.

This hotel requires you to walk through a restaurant and walk up more than 30 steps before reaching a tiny reception desk. It is very shabby and looks like an “by the hour “ establishment. There is no lobby. The room was tiny and the bed well used. It cannot be accessed by car and requires one to walk along an alleyway to reach it. Not pleasant.
