Tried to find a resort for our 10yr old kid to enjoy, found the offer online for Aquaworld Resort in Budapest for the 4 day getaway. Room was clean, must admit that.. Towels were changed every day, bathrobe every 3 days (our 145 cm boy got an xl bathrobe but it seems that this is the only size they have as noticed by the other kids in the hotel wearing oversized bathrobes). Lots of staff don't speak English, and don't seems friendly toward foreigners. The outside pools are not too big, they were packed with people soaking in the nice warm water (outside was sunny and 24C). Inside pools are spacious with few slides, and they were nice and warm according to the specs written next to every pool. We came there Thursday, until Sunday. Saturday morning after breakfast went to the pool, and were unpleasantly surprised as half of the inner pools were closed (outside was cloudy and 18C) due to some kids swimming tournament. We were just like?!?!? You close half of the pools for some tournament to take place? What about the other guests of the hotel who came here to relax and enjoy amenities ?? There was approx 50 or more kids with parents who were walking around and all other guests were just approaching and left disappointed as they didn't want to listen to the too loud host who was talking over the mic and it became really annoying. What we were allowed to use was the jacuzzi, and it was packed with elderly people and one bigger pool with colder water. And of course outside pools which is quite recommended for a 10 yr old to easily catch cold. We were so annoyed that went to complain to the reception desk and the staff didn't see any problem in that, as said "but it is a children competition and it will last only for few hours!". And at my question, what about the other guests who paid to enjoy the pool and were not informed that half of the pools were taken by some event ?? Do we need to use only two pools but paid to use all? And this is acceptable for you? The front desk manager answered: "I'm sorry, its out of our hands, we cannot do anything.." No, this is not how you treat guests as a hotel/resort, and you need to offer something to the guests to keep them satisfied in a case like this and to return to your hotel again. You DON'T make an event, especially not during the weekend, you DON'T close half of the amenities, you DON'T expect for other guests to accept this as something normal because in the hospitality world this is NOT normal! The lifeguards at the pool were quite annoyed during our stay and used the whistle too loud and many times. And mentioning kids entertainment, saying this from the mother of 10yr old (for younger ones there is kids club ) the only entertainment is gaming room, which is in the basement of the hotel, situated very far from the reception - had to walk all the way on the other side of the hotel, having table tennis , two very slow XBOX, two pool tables for big, one small pool table , darts which was not working, an

However, we have published the time of the tournament on our website 3 weeks earlier to inform all our Guests about the drop-out of those specific services of ours, in order to avoid such unpleasant surprises. The tournament lasted from 9am to 11:30am, so it meant a maximum 3 hours closure of the pool. Although, these programs must be held on weekend mornings, as kids and parents can not come to attend on weekdays, so we kindly ask the understanding of our Guests. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with how our Front Desk Supervisor dealt with the situation, however I am convinced that my colleague talked to you in the most respectful way, as it is part of his job and his personality. We spent 2 night in this hotel, and we found it perfect. The animators were very kind with kids, the programs were good. When we arrived, the receptionist said, we could’nt stay at the room, what we booked (junior suite), so we could use the presidential suite. Food was delecious.

Great weekend away with family- kid friendly only.we have stayed at the hotel 5 times. The really enjoy themselves. The only downside has to be it’s literally middle of nowhere you have to get a taxi or a bus to go to shops. Bolt-Uber comes really quickly. Definitely would recommend and will be returning for sure

Aquaworld Resort Budapest is a wonderful place to be. If someone like us, takes pleasure in meeting new people,having good food and spending time with love ones - it is the perfect opportunity to visit this place. Always busy, never dull. But the staff is great,waiters and locals are hospitable, accommodating. Familys mostly enjoy spending time here,while chilling out and reconnecting to each other. It is also the perfect choice for romantic getaways,long weekends. Separate areas are provided for sauna and chilling out. We ,the grownups only took short turns, while arriving with family 😊 Facilities are great,it is also possible to visit without being guest in the hotel. But for families with children it's a wonderful thing being able to sleep next door. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Horrible. No lounge chairs available. If you don’t have hungarian mastercard you can not get a gazebo. The pools are small, overcrowded and it’s very hard to find a spot. I will not return or recommend it to anyone. They didn’t give us a refund because “it’s weekend and the employees do not work”

Overcrowded. We walked around for an hour and we couldn t find an empty sunbed. They have a separate gazebo area with loungechairs, but you can not pay for it if you’re not hungarian. The food was very bad. We left very fast, didn’t enjoy the day. Paid 40€ for return taxi. They didn’t provide any refund because it’s weekend, we had to get it from our own bank.

We stayed at this hotel in June. Unfortunately, I left very disappointed and with the promise that no one will ever suffer what we suffered. During the 4 days we stayed, only once did someone come to clean our room and then only the beds were made, the towels were not changed. I later went down the hall after the maid with the towels from our room as to change them with clean towels. When the cleaning was done in our room, a pair of gold earrings were stolen from me. Although I presented this situation at the reception, although I said that only one person entered our room during the 4 days we were staying there, they did not find any solution to this problem, saying that they spoke to the lady who cleaned our room and she said she wouldn't have taken the earrings. Who would have admitted this anyway and lost their job? Besides this unpleasant aspect that left me with a bitter taste because I have never experienced anything like this, the hotel was full of mosquitoes. At the restaurant, in the hallways, at the indoor aqua park, at the playground, at the reception, practically everywhere. In the evening you couldn't go out in front of the hotel because you were simply stung everywhere. With all the people I talked to in the hallway, they all complained about mosquitoes The poor children were bitten all over by mosquitoes. The food, very, very poor, a few dishes that you can choose from and not good at all. Although we had half board, the drinks you consumed at the table had to be paid for, both in the morning and in the evening. A very unpleasant accommodation and experience, I would not recommend anyone to go. There are other places much, much nicer for this money. This is not a 4 star hotel. If it didn't have the aqua park ( which is nice), it would have a maximum 2 stars under what conditions it offers on summer.

As we said here on the spot and in our email conversation too later on, much to our regret, we did not find your pair of earrings in your room. We only take responsibility for valuables left in the safety boxes of our rooms, which is written accordingly on them. Nonetheless, we have searched for it in every possible way (not only speaking to our cleaning colleague, we took further steps too) involving our housekeeping manager and head of security too, but we could not trace your earrings anywhere. Please be informed that due to our house rules, daily cleaning is done every day (including making the bed, vacuuming if needed, and refilling of amenities on both the room and the bathroom), however, we only change the towels if they are thrown on the floor or else, every second day. Regarding our breakfast and dinner policy, please note that no drinks are charged during our buffet breakfast (soft drinks, tea, coffee, and milk available from machines), only if you order something else from the bar. During our buffet dinner, drinks are extra, which has been this way since our opening in 2008 and is written in our confirmation letters. As far as mosquitoes are concerned, we apologize for any inconvenience caused, however, it is a natural period during summer, due to the frequent rains and the rise of the level of the Danube that we experienced before your stay, there is not much we can do against it with all our doors used by so many Guests, we cannot keep mosquitoes outside of the building. Despite the above unpleasant experiences, we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our resort and to restore your trust in our services. Great experience at the hotel, restaurant, spa and waterpark. We stayed for 3 nights and were upgraded to a suite which was a nice touch. The waterpark was great as was the spa. The water was very warm and slides were good fun. The food was pleasant throughout our stay and changed each night for the dinner buffet. Breakfast was also very good and had lots of options.

I left your hotel at 11 o'clock yesterday. I was staying in room ***, the bed was far from the window. I forgot my black wallet in the pillowcase. Inside was my press card, IDs, cards and 900 euros. I'm sure it's there but they never help. They act as if my wallet, which contains a large amount of money, is never in the room. They do not produce any solutions. Horrible business whose employees act like their wallet is missing along with everything in it even though they know they have very important cards inside

The most unfriendly staff I have ever met !!! No one smiles here. If I ask a question I barely get an answer and get the filling that I enterfier them. No entertainment for the kids. In the waterpark today a kid was stack between the slides and the lifeguard didn't even help her just shout at her to sit. Only her father helped her. They didn't even stop the slide so her father can help her. It was so dangerous!

This is the place to be for kids & all ages. We've visited this place for the 3rd times & it feels like our 1st day. Kids can have great fun whiles mothers can pamper themselves with massage and cosmetic (pedicure & manicure), dentist on site and with a well equip gym. The restaurants offer great varieties. They even cater for food allergy individuals.
