My stay at Danubius Hotel Astoria was absolutely excellent and exceeded all expectations. The hotel offers a perfect city-center location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Budapest, with major attractions, public transport, restaurants, and cafés all within easy walking distance. The atmosphere combines classic elegance with modern comfort, creating a refined and welcoming environment from the moment of arrival. The room was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean, and well equipped, providing a relaxing and restful experience after a day in the city. Before coming, I only knew it was a century-old hotel, and it turned out that wasn't just a gimmick. You can see from my photos that it truly has that antique charm, that old-world feel from the last century. I personally love this kind of atmosphere; after all, traveling is about experiencing new things.
It's inevitable that the hotel facilities are a bit old, but you can tell they're very well-maintained. I didn't encounter any problems at all. 👍🏻

Superb location. Food everywhere. Direct express bus 100E from airport that stop right infront of the hotel. The only downside is you need to walk to hotel via metro underpass. With big luggages, it can be tiring despite very short walk. No toiletries are provided.

The location of the hotel is exceptional: walking distance to the most popular places. We liked the atmosphere of the hotel: decoration, furniture, restaurant, service. Everything was like we expected. Definitely we will stay there again.

Having just returned from Madrid, Spain, I found this place incredibly spacious, authentically European in style, and very cozy by comparison. Although there was a minor hiccup – a curtain fixture accidentally fell off the wall, likely due to the building's age – I still quite liked its classic charm. Moreover, the building's location is superb, right at the entrance of a major metro hub. You can get off the airport express, cross the road, and be at the hotel – absolutely no need for a taxi for check-in. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally elegant and polite, making it feel akin to staying at Shanghai's legendary Peace Hotel.

Great location, next to the metro, bus, and tram station! Lovely, helpful stuff. They have a stunning old style cafe/restaurant. The only downside was that the room was dusty.
