Hotel stopped in time. It can be seen that it has already lived through its glory days, but it is far from the luxury hotels of today.
It is very well located, rooms are spacious, but very old.
Rooftop is very good, I recommend it. Good breakfast, but nothing exceptional.
Overall, for a luxury class hotel, there are many better ones in the city.

This hotel is one of BA's most luxurious and is in a prime location. You can visit the cemetery on foot, and just across the road is Hermes. The overall style is really palace-style, very retro and beautiful, and it is much better than some of the hotels I stayed in in NYC that are both beautiful and shabby. The service is quite satisfactory, which can only be said to be what a hotel at this price should have. I stayed here for five nights in total. It brought me so many memories when I first arrived and when I was about to leave🥺Will be back for sure

I think the attention we received at the Alvear Palace Hotel was the best. We got an upgrade for a Suite that was very spacious and had 2 bathrooms. We felt pampered during breakfast, the staff was very attentive and some of them even took time to notice why i didn’t get some dishes (i’m lactose intolerant) and went to the kitchen to check which pastries didn’t have dairy products. I really appreciated their help. The hotel has the best location, the area looked safe and walk around the property.

Ridiculous to have a 'breakfast included' rate, and then charge extra for ordering eggs eg for an omelette. Very disapponting for an upper range hotel. They had more waiters than guests at breakfast - they should consider reducing one staff member, and not charge extra for breakfast eggs! Particularly as room rates are several hundred US $ per night. Small details leave big impressions.
