We called here a couple of times for drinks whilst on a Christmas break away. I must say the Manor is stunning and the grounds are beautiful. The employees we met whilst here were so friendly and took time out to make sure we were comfortable and couldn't do enough for us. It was really interesting to hear the history of the Manor. We also had the opportunity of meeting the owners one night, and what a lovely couple they are. They also gave my doggy alfie a Christmas present which was extremely thoughtful, thankyou he loves it so much. Hope to see you all again Best wishes becci, carl, Barry and alfie. X

We had a very comfortable week's stay at this hotel - beautifully decorated for Christmas - in the Wye Suite, a very large room en suite room with a view over the extensive grounds and river. Our two terriers were allowed to join us. The staff were friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Excellent choice for breakfast. It's an old house with very traditional decor and furniture. We enjoyed it very much.

Wonderful couple of days stay. Everybody very friendly and welcoming. Extremely dog friendly, we requested a ground floor room with walk in shower and that’s exactly what we received. It had been recently renovated to a very high standard. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, they even allowed our dog to eat in the conservatory with us rather than leave him in the room. Set in the most beautiful grounds with lots of walks for humans and dogs. Highly recommended.

My husband and myself stayed at the hotel last weekend for might. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and our room was lovely, with a comfy bed, nice bedding, large tv and classy bathroom. The breakfast was really exceptional with plenty of choice and the hot portion of breakfast was cooked separately as it was ordered, all food was of excellent quality. However, the room we were in, which was on the front of the hotel, needs black out curtains as the light from outside shone straight through the existing curtains. Also, it would be a good idea if the evening meal could include something a.little less expensive than £39, perhaps a bar meal as not everyone who visits needs a 2 or 3 course meal.

This hotel from approach through to room and its setting is wonderful. We had a fantastic 4 poster bed room, which was great. The public rooms and dinning rooms are impressive and feel luxurious. Superb. Great location too. Lovely grounds. We had a couple of minor issues that were quickly resolved. Still great value. The staff are super helpful, respectful and polite. We had an amazing 14/16 course meal which was potentially the best ever and maybe better than our meal in one if the world's top 3 restaurants which was also a gift from our children. It was more than twice the price of our room, each. But It was amazing. Hotel - will return great value 16 course meal, one off on our budget but amasing and loved it. Other meal options are available.

I stayed at one of the lodges on site which was called lake view Lodge and it was truly spectacular! Every detail was perfect and so much more and I will definitely be returning. My sister stayed in Lodge 51 tom's retreat!!! Avoid this lodge at all cost as it was truly disgusting and filthy and absolutely should never have been allowed to let anyone stay in it, I wouldn't put a dog in there to stay! Pure filth.

Our second visit to this beautiful hotel, with it's helpful staff and stunning surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble and the service always comes with a smile. We tried the 14 course taster menu, with wine pairings, and weren't disappointed. Exceptional menu, expertly cooked and served with knowledge and a smile. We'll definitely be returning for another visit.

Ground; I visited this hotel midway en route to Swansea. The ground is absolutely stunning, peaceful and has lots of greenery. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Room :We stayed in room 1 which is warm, spacious, very comfortable with an old charm. Absolutely worth every penny ! Food: We were truly excited about the menu as it looked ambitious and inspirational. All dishes presented beautifully but flavours combination of their adventurous dishes could be something that I have to adjust. I don’t think they do a la carte as the customer has to opt out either 2 courses for £39.99 or 4 courses for £54.99. The dessert is absolutely to die for though. The breakfast was again beautifully presented with an exciting breakfast menu. I got confused at one point as I ordered the baked egg but it turned out to be a fried egg on top of Baba Ganoush. Overall: With a little tweak on flavours combination and food delivery, this hotel will be one of the most amazing dine and stay destinations to visit in Wales.

My partner and I recently had an overnight stay at the Caer Beris. We throughly enjoyed every second of our stay and from start to finish we were looked after. Our evening meal was delicious and breakfast was amazing. The hotel grounds are stunning and our upgraded room was beautiful and so clean. Following our evening meal, we wanted to venture into Builth Wells, and the owner Omar kindly gave us a lift. Which was a nice touch. We will definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be returning soon.
