Holiday Inn Bulawayo

Excellent stay. Helpful staff who recommended good guide for Matobo National Park in short notice. Close to a supermarket and a pharmacy which is convenient. No much to see in the area around, however.

It was a good stay. The service was good as they offer to help and they’ll do if you request them for something , but they might be slow. The internet was perfect for working. The breakfast was good with many varieties.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were extremely courteous and welcoming. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and all the amenities one would expect from a high-end hotel. I appreciated the attention to detail in the room’s design, which helped make my stay feel luxurious and relaxing. The hotel also featured a range of facilities that really added to my overall enjoyment of the stay. The restaurant, in particular, was impressive, featuring a diverse menu that included both local and international dishes. The quality of the food was exceptional, and I found myself eating most of my meals at the hotel. In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently situated in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore the area on foot. I also appreciated the on-site parking, which meant I didn't have to worry about finding a safe place to park my car. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The combination of exceptional service, beautiful rooms, and convenient location made it a memorable experience that I won't soon forget.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Bulawayo for 2 nights. As soon as I entered the hall, I asked to check in for my twin room. The receptionist Loretta could not find my booking. After 10 minutes of waiting, I asked her if she wanted my confirmation number for the hotel. I mistakenly gave the itinerary confirmation number instead of the hotel confirmation, she rudely answered back saying "This is not the one that I am looking for". I then verbally told her what I had booked, and I quote what she said: I thought you had two separate rooms, that is why I could not find them. She gave me the card keys for my room and did not apologise for how prompt and slightly rude, she was. The room was nice and clean. We decided to go for dinner at Phumulani Restaurant, the food was good and the staff was very nice and operative. The bill was USD 76.00 for 2 buffet dinners and 2 cokes which is shocking considering that you are eating at Holiday Inn after all. Bulawayo is not a very expensive city for tourists, so I found this bill very excessive considering. The next day, we went to a nice dinner for 2 people and we considerably paid much less than that and the food was incredible. Also, The hotel promotes a comfortable and nice night's sleep. One of the days, I was woken up by one of the workers who cleaned the leaves in the car park with a leaf blower and this was so early in the morning. It was around 7.07 am. Overall, my experience was not that great!
