Hotel is now too old and sinks are blocked, can’t even brush your teeth properly in the bathroom. It really needs some hugs renovations. Wonder where the money goes instead of also developing the hotel. Beds are the same old ones from the Colonial times. A bit sad for such a hotel which was highly praised.

The room is OK in Zimba
But it's really old, and many things can't keep up. For example, the door looks like it's been pried open, and the safety lock can no longer be closed.

My stay at the Rainbow Hotel in Bulawayo during the SADC meeting was truly refreshing. The hotel’s central location in the heart of the city made it incredibly convenient to transition between intense regional strategy sessions and exploring the local surroundings. The city’s relaxed pace, historic wide avenues, and unique charm provided a perfect balance, allowing for a much-needed mental recharge. This calm environment was an ideal setting for high-level work, leaving me invigorated and ready to apply renewed energy to the upcoming FY 2026/27. It was, quite simply, the perfect stay.

Room was nice and quiet. The staff is very welcoming. Will not hesitate to visit again and also to recommend hotel to friends and relatives who might want to visit Bulawayo.

There is room for Improvement. Workers at the reception must be welcoming, not to tell a visitor that I don't know when the room will be ready. when we travel, we will be having a lot of things to do, not to spend a whole 30 minutes to be given a room at the hotel.
