Wonderful stay in Hotel Budir. The staff made us feel very welcome. We stayed in room 203 with beautiful views over the coastline. Great location on the Snaefellsness peninsular with an easy drive to all the sights. Very comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice of Icelandic cuisine.

The hotel is a very nice hotel with beautiful views thoughout the lobby bar. Easy, friendly check in, as well. Our room was on the first floor and it was a clean spacious room. Where it went downhill was the room. We had several windows but the view was of the large trash bin and the other window looked at a large dirt mound and construction debris. At around 5 or 5:30pm there was extremely loud drilling going on that shook our room and the hallway. I feel that this hotel is in the middle of construction and is not ready to be open. Our room was around 350 euros so it was not a cheap stay. There is not many options to stay in this area but just be aware that they have a lot of kinks to work out. Also, ask for a 2nd level room. Maybe you will have a better view.

Schönes Landhotel inmitten von Nichts und Natur, gleich bei der bekannten schwarzen Kirche. Der Empfang war nett, das Zimmer sehr gemütlich mit Sicht aus dem Dachfenster auf die Kirche. Im Restaurant isst man sehr gut, die Bedienung ist zurückhaltend aber nett.

The hotel is fine, maybe a bit too expensive- location is great, nice walk to the crater - 3,5 km, with super view.food is exceptionel , both lunch, dinner and breakfast - so come here - take some nice walks, and eat some nice food. And close to the black Church where a lot of busses come

The Hotel Budir is well worth the 2.5 hour drive out of Reykjavík. Our 2 night stay was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurants each day, the food was fresh and delicious. Bartender made excellent cocktails. The staff is super helpful and the epitome of great hospitality. It is a memorable location in between the water and mountains. Great for watching the Northern Lights. The Hotel Budir is towards the top of the list of hotels we have visited and will definitely recommend to our friends and family.

We stayed at the hotel during the Easter weekend and enjoyed the clean and beautiful facilities. We were both very content, the staff was friendly and helpful. Both of us definately recommend staying at Hótel Búðir. The surroundings of the hotel are quite picturesque. The food was scrumptious, the shellfish soup is the best soup I have had.

Wonderful stay! The room are big and comfortable and the view is stunning on the mountain and the sea (we were welcomed by a family of seal). The hotel is very calm we enjoyed the cosy living room area, its happy hour and the splendid scenery. I was very surprised since the picture are not as appealing as the reality. The dining room is so charming and the restaurant is so good! The breakfast is just fantastic with all freshly made food (the picture really needs to be changed because it doesn’t pay tribute to how good and beautiful it is). The only thing I would improve is maybe having a heating towel system in the bathroom. Big thanks to the staff!

Wir haben 5 Nächte im Hotel verbracht und sind begeistert. Der Blick aus dem Zimmer alleine auf Berge und Strand war ein Traum (siehe Fotos!). Das neu gestaltete Zimmer war geräumig und schön, die Betten sehr bequem und das Badezimmer sehr schön mit Steinboden und richtig gutem Wasserdruck. Es gibt eine große Badewanne im Zimmer. Frühstück und Dinner waren ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
