I couldn't get a reservation for a place in Bern, so I had no choice but to stay at a place about 15 minutes by train from Bern, and it was a great hit! The place I stayed at was inside a castle, and the facility has been renovated and is very beautiful! It's also on a hill, so the view from the window is amazing!
There's a coop and another supermarket in front of the station.
It's on a hill, so it's a bit tiring to walk, but if you have the chance, please stay there!

Beautiful place. Friendly people. But remember to bring a towel. And reserve a shuttle transport in advance for arrival and departure days. That walk up with 4 heavy bags was a chore.

Great rooms, wonderful breakfast. Staff at reception still a bit cool. The food in the restaurant is wonderful, reservations necessary. Very child-friendly, the courtyard is ideal for wild games.
