Hotel Maria Luisa

This was a very disappointing visit from the minute we checked in about. We booked the hotel due to it having a car park . On arrival the staff told us that our car was too big and we would have to find a place on the street . We asked about safety they said it was safe . We were disappointed we couldn’t park in the car park . Once checked in which took forever finding a parking space . The room was hot and quite noisy due to being on a main rd . The air con was extremely noisy which kept me awake . Due to it being the World Cup we asked to watch a special match for us . The staff had no idea what channel it could be on one of the most important events in any Country . We tried to watch on our phones no Wi-Fi in the room it wouldn’t connect . On the second day we had to come back to put a ticket on our car every 2 hours . At 4 we returned and someone had stolen our number plate. We asked the hotel to call the police and were told we needed to attend the police station and spent 4 hours at the station . It took away the shine of our holiday our time wasted due putting parking tickets on the car and then a visit to the local police station . This wouldn’t have happened had we been able to go in the car park . We wouldn’t have booked the hotel had we known this . I am asking for a refund for a terrible experience definitely not a holiday

Pleasant, friendly staff. Comfortable, nicely furnished room. Handy parking, very good breakfast; helpful reception staff. Well located.

Stayed here for one night in August 2025. Pros: 1) The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and were of adequate size. 2) The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. 3) The WIFI was free with great speed and connectivity. 4) It is a 20 minute walk to the Burgos cathedral from the hotel. 5) There are a lot of places to eat close to the hotel. 6) The place is quiet at night and the sleep quality was great. 7) The tariff is cheap. 8) The bathroom amenities were modern and in good working condition. Cons: 1) For the first time in a decade, the hotel did not have our reservation when we showed up. We always book hotels via Agoda and this was the first time we had faced this problem. The hotel had vacancy and offered us at the same price we had booked. I am giving the benefit of the doubt to the hotel and am assuming Agoda is most likely at fault here.
