The White Buck

We’ve eaten here before. A glorious garden when the sun shines, and the patio is a great place to breakfast. We had room 11, advertised as”snug “, so I was expecting a very tight fit. On the second floor yes, it was small but really really nice. Every necessity was catered for. Dinner was good but it was the breakfast which surpassed expectations. Only moan was the gardner started blowing and cutting at 8 am, which shattered the peace of breakfast. Is that really necessary?£

Lovely peaceful hotel with great decor. The room was up in the eves and really nice. We liked the touches, like the complimentary bottle of beer, coffee and chocolates. We also had a really nice meal in the restaurant. A lovely stay

A gem in the heart of the New Forest. A really lovely atmosphere of folk enjoying time with friends, family, and loved ones. Warm and friendly staff, fabulous garden, comfortable rooms, and great food! All within the stunning beauty of the New Forest. Walk out of the hotel and straight into nature.

We had a lovely last minute stay at the white buck. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable with everything you need from premium coffee and chocolates to gowns and slippers! The staff were very attentive and friendly - especially Dawn & Julie. Already looking forward to our return.

Wonderful as always the staff are lovely, Breakfast with Julie and Dawn…. Wow!!!great food with the best service anywhere in the world , just back from business in USA ( Wichita and Nashville) you should “rent out Julie to them to show what service with a smile is and that would be a bargain paying 22% service charge… I keep returning and look forward to the amazing breakfast!!! ( makes a day in work fly!!)EXCELLENT.

A well maintained and clean hotel the staff and service was great and the evening meal as fantastic a great base to explore the New forest the outdoors eating and drinking area is nice and quiet with live entertainment with the birds and squirrels we will be back soon as they put on live entertainment see you there soon

We came here to end a wonderful day out driving a traction engine in the gorgeous New Forest [TractionEngineDrivingDays], so arrived with big grins on our faces, and covered in smuts and oil stains! This was not a problem at all- the friendly reception booked us in with the really surprising and unexpected news that our room had been upgraded to a 'Junior Suite'. Arriving in our room was fabulous- an in room copper bath tub as well as a large shower in the ensuite, plus a lovely big comfortable bed. Once clean, it was time to explore all the trreats that had been left for us- tea pigs tea bags, posh (and very yummy) chocolates, a bottle of Fullers London pride and a voucher for a free G & T in the bar! Wtg White Buck! The food in the restaurant was spot on - the steak on the bone was delectable, and cooked exactly as ordered- a pleasant surprise not found in many places. After a relaxing night's sleep, it was back down to the restaurant for leisurely and much appreciated breakfast before reluctantly returning home.

Always feel happy staying here, even when travelling solo. The staff are fantastic and Julie at breakfast could not be more helpful and welcoming. Especially due to having an allergy which can be looked over in some places and made to feel like an inconvenience, however Julie was brilliant with this and made it no trouble. Thank you!

We had a nights stay for our anniversary and we wasn’t disappointed, the room was upgraded and was exceptional, fantastic with a large walkin shower, roll top bath twin sinks , I’m sure the bed was queen size hair dryer and tea and coffee with fresh milk given to us at reception on our way in , a complementary drink each , we couldn’t fault the room or the excellent service we received, that started off with the wonderful welcome at reception to the bar staff and we had a fantastic meal that they had decorated the table for our anniversary and brought out a beautiful dessert to share with Happy anniversary written on it. The following morning we went for the breakfast and there’s a large breakfast selection to help yourself to and regular tea and coffee top ups along with your choice of hot breakfast which again was delicious. Once again we would like to thank you all at the white buck inn that help make our anniversary even more special, such a beautiful place.
