A delightful comfortable hotel in private picturesque situation. Very friendly efficient staff, beautiful decor extremely well kept and clean top to bottom extremely good value very high quality food with menu offering a special every evening so no need to always choose off the regular menu. Gourmet menu recommended, altered to suit my dairy intolerance,thoroughly recommend

This is a wonderful hotel set in delightful grounds well away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The service provided by the staff was, in every situation, outstanding and faultless. They all function as an amazing team and proved to be most helpful about elements of the hotel and aspects of the wider community. The food was excellent - cooked to perfection and presented with style. I have a problem with what I can eat and how best to eat certain things. Nothing was too much trouble to make certain that I was assured of 100% satisfaction. The accommodation and public areas were spotless and well cared for. We slept well in a large and comfortable bed. We met a couple who were there for the third time just because they love staying at Northcote Manor. That says a lot, with which we agree. It is a lovely place to just chill out and to enjoy all the bird song. We wish to thank everyone for a great service and to Mitchell for his wit and wisdom. We could not have wished for better.

Really not impressed. A lot went wrong. Took a very long time between courses which I know isn’t unusual but….. it was too long. Wrong dishes came out . There was a dish that came out tartar and where there was nothing in the description that described it as being raw meat. The deserts took 35 minutes to come out so we got offered a cheese course as an apology but then that took so long to come that we just got up and asked for the bill. It was poor.

Beautiful hotel set in lovely countryside surroundings. First class food and service. Lovely rooms and the staff cannot do enough for you. Special thanks to barman Mitchell and our young waiter Harry. Lovely Spa attached with amazing views. Highly recommend for a quiet break away.

Beautiful manor , beautiful furniture and decor in keeping with the house. Service impeccable, staff all very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast very well presented. Evening meals superb , very fine quality, serving staff very attentive. The grounds are kept to a high standard and a lovely setting for relaxing

The best hotel we have stayed in near Barnstaple in the years we have been visiting elderly parents. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere relaxing and uncrowded and the food sublime. The spa was a little hot and the jacuzzi almost too hot, but the views were outstanding and the pool and spa/steam room spot on. Our room looked over the front garden/drive to the hills and we felt totally looked after throughout our 2 night stay. The food was excellent and a quality menu to suit all tastes, with some lovely canapés to start. We found the murals in the restaurant very interesting. This was our first long car journey in our electric vehicle and the spa has a charger which made the trip even more relaxing as we knew we could charge up and get home without stopping on route. The combination of a modern spa, ev charger with the "stately" manor house was a perfect combination and we will certainly return.

Many thanks to Richie, Mitchel and the team for another fantastic three night visit. Superb service and top quality breakfasts and dinners. We would recommend the local Devon beef and sea trout in particular. Look no further than the chocolate fondant for pudding. We also made use of the spa which has been a lovely addition to the hotel. Looking forward to seeing you all again in the summer ( sorry to miss you this time Simon).

The hotel is beautiful, as are the extensive grounds, everything feels luxurious, the spa pool and steam room were great, nice views. My wife said the 90 minute treatment she had at the spa was fantastic. The bed in our room was too soft for me and I woke very early, the breakfast was adequate, portion sizes were small e.g. one egg, one rasher of bacon and a few small mushrooms on a very large plate. We didn’t have an evening meal.

Retired in the area and thought drop in and have a look….not disappointed. Beautiful hotel and spa stepping back in time. We have joined other leisure and spa facilities to be disappointed. This beautiful property know their market place rather than book to overflowing. Less is more. So much tranquility . Go for it!
