Dovecliff Hall Hotel

Thank you to all the staff at Dovecliffe Hotel . Been today with 5 Lady friends for Afternoon tea . It was wonderful. Last Sunday we took our family 11 of us for Sunday lunch . It was excellent Very tasty and absolutely first class . Both the lunch and afternoon tea . Your staff are a credit to you . And your chef provided some really lovely dishes . Thank you for making my 80th birthday celebration a memory I won’t forget. Highly recommended *****

Excellent Sunday lunch. Super choice. Well presented. Professional staff good choice of wine. Tables set in nice positions. Lovely views. Prefer restaurant to conservatory, but they are very accommodating. Good piano player. . Very happy to continue to visit

Amazing Sunday Lunch, The Staff were attentive but not intrusive.Spacious tables with lovely fresh white linen.The Food was delicious, my husband had the Beef and i the Lamb both very tender. We could not fault anything.Beautiful suroundings.Can't wait to return.

What an amazing find! Meeting my best friend half way between Yorkshire and Wiltshire. I have paid doubled the price for other places and not a match here. Beautiful Georgian House, peaceful gardens. The room was very big with a gorgeous terrace. I ordered a cream tea and this was delicious delivered straight from the oven. Very generous full English breakfast which was delicious The staff are great offering first class customer service. The Sunday lunched looked amazing but we were still full from breakfast Five stars 🌟 🌟 Dovecliff is awarded to you

What a first rate experience. I cannot fault you. The setting and architecture is outstanding The ambience was salubrious and relaxing. The Service was wondeful and Jordan was absolutely superb. A few days spent with friends at this hotel. The staff were the most friendly of any hotel we have stayed at, nothing was too much trouble and they made us all feel at home. The breakfasts were excellent and food was well prepared. The bedroom was large and comfortable with no real issues. The hotel itself is an old building and has no lift which could be an issue for some but it was not a problem for us. There used to be a large garden to explore if the weather is good. They do hold weddings here. We would highly recommend this hotel for a short stay.

Awesome setting, with excellent service. The majority of the food served was amazing, but the way that they cooked their steak was not to our tastes. To my mind, a steak gets its flavour from being seared in a pan or on a griddle. At Dovecliffe, the steak was poached and then flashed under a grill, resulting in a tasteless dish. I would love to visit the restaurant again, but will avoid the steak.

We arrived Saturday to a very warm welcome. We were staying as friends were celebrating a joint 70th at the hotel and had booked it out for exclusive use. Our room (number 5) was large, well furnished with lots of big windows overlooking the garden and adjoining fields. A nice large bathroom with separate bath and shower. As I say we were attending a birthday celebration so did not dine, as such, a buffet had been provided. However, I will say the staff were excellent. Professional, friendly and very efficient, considering they were looking after about 90 guests. The buffet was excellent. All the food we had well presented and replenished as the evening went along. Breakfast the next day was again buffet style. All in all we had a very pleasant 1 night stay.
