11360195****The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs.
The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious.
The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

GGuest UserThis stay was really a pleasant surprise! The location was easy to find, and the housekeeper would call ahead! The surrounding area was very quiet, and I slept very well at night. The room was very carefully decorated, clean and tidy, and the light was very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were very complete and very convenient to use. The guy at the front desk was very nice and gave a lot of local travel suggestions. He felt like a caring friend. It was a very relaxing stay, and I will choose here again next time!

MM418305****I absolutely have to rave about this hotel! The facilities are brand new, and the billiards room is an absolute hidden gem – playing pool there while watching the stunning sunset creates an incredible ambiance.
The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful; they provided a very detailed introduction. And that ballpoint pen – it's both stylish and writes beautifully, plus the cap doubles as a stylus for touchscreens! That small design detail totally won me over.
The location is also unbeatable, right near the Sports Center, and you can walk to the Science Museum. The overall design is very modern and youthful. I had such a wonderful stay and highly recommend it!

. not once but three times. The staff also friendly to help when I do not have Didi apps and even paid for me in advance and on then I re pay them separately. Overall, good and breakfast also not bad. Many variety and taste okay to me. Level 3.
Just the lift very crowded during peak hours.
Dislike a little that king bed size is merged using two single bed type only.

GGuest UserI originally booked another hotel, but because there were not enough rooms there, Ctrip helped me change to this one. The boss was very friendly and the service was very friendly. The double room was too close to the elevator. I was afraid that our children would not be able to sleep well. The boss specially added two big bed rooms I bought two beds and gave Xiang Piaopiao to the children

JJinbaotuoleiChoosing this hotel for our Xiamen trip was truly an excellent decision. Its location is absolutely perfect, serving as an ideal starting point for exploring the city's highlights. Whether it was taking a ferry from the bustling ferry terminal to Gulangyu Island, strolling along the Nanyang-style Zhongshan Road in search of local delicacies, or visiting the lush Botanical Garden, everything was conveniently and quickly accessible, saving us a lot of precious travel time.
The hotel service was another major highlight of our trip, truly embodying the phrase 'a home away from home'. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and a warm, friendly demeanor. Upon seeing us with luggage, a concierge proactively came forward to enthusiastically and professionally assist with carrying it. This thoughtful attention to detail made us feel incredibly welcome.
The weather was also on our side; during our days in Xiamen, we enjoyed almost consistently clear blue skies with fluffy white clouds. Bright sunshine during the day, and glittering lights at night. Looking out from our hotel room or nearby elevated spots, Xiamen's night view was stunningly beautiful, adding a romantic touch to our journey.
Thanks to the convenient location, attentive service, and wonderful weather, our trip to Xiamen was filled with relaxation and joy, leaving us with many warm and beautiful memories.

The hotel's location is excellent, being only a 10-minute walk to the ferry terminal, which made getting to Gulangyu Island very convenient.

It's super close to Zhongshan Road, you can walk right out to explore中华城 (Zhonghuacheng), and it's also very near the beach. It's fantastic to be able to step out and immediately be at a scenic spot when you're traveling. The service is also incredibly good; the front desk staff were warm, patient, and meticulous in helping me with my questions. Highly recommended! I'll definitely stay at Yishang again next time. Awesome!

The condition of the hotel is not as good as what’s shown in the photos. One of our biggest issues was the poor water pressure on the upper level — it was so weak that my whole family of four had to shower on the lower level instead. Cleanliness was acceptable but nothing impressive.
During check-in, the receptionist had a bad temper and wasn’t friendly at all. She even raised her voice at us for no reason, sounding agitated from the start.
We booked a total of seven rooms. Some of my relatives seemed happy with their rooms (which I didn’t get to see), but there were clear inconsistencies in room conditions. My parents’ room, for example, had a moldy smell and visible water leak marks on the walls, which really disappointed them.
The Wi-Fi in our unit was completely unusable, and the TV didn’t have any watchable channels. The bed, however, was comfortable — my daughter especially liked it.
The hotel’s location is okay, though it’s actually situated inside a mall, which can be inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage. You’ll need to carry your bags up the stairs into the mall and walk about three minutes to reach the lobby. There are no one to help you with the luggage till you reach the hotel.
The room ceilings are rather low, and the windows face directly into the mall corridor, so there’s no real view or natural light.
The buffet was edible, but again, some of the staff — especially a lady cooking noodles — were grumpy and inattentive.
Finally, don’t believe all the glowing online reviews. Right after we checked out, a receptionist rushed over and asked to use my phone to post a review — and then offered me a box of biscuits. I suppose that explains why the hotel is rated so highly online.
Overall, I think the hotel management should focus more on maintaining the property and improving the guest experience. If I come back to Xiamen again, I won’t be returning to this hotel.

GGuest UserMy favorite hotel on this trip is this one. The price is super! The hotel staff can also upgrade the sea view room. The sea view is very good. From check-in to check-out, every staff member makes me feel at home. The facilities in the room are also very comfortable, the mattress is soft and the shower water is strong. Moreover, the location of the hotel is also very convenient, there are many delicious restaurants and attractions nearby. I will stay here next time I come to Xiamen and recommend it to my friends.
