"Osho Home is not a luxury hotel, but they are trying their best to make your stay comfortable. I got a nice room with a sitting area, a kettle, tea and coffee. The bathroom was clean and--what important in Nepal--water was really hot and I had not to wait for it as it often happens. The location of the hotel is perfect: it's in Thamel but not on a busy street. So, everything is easily accessible but no noise in the room."

Great
GGuest UserThe Hotel Barahi Kathmandu is in a great location, walking distance to great souvenirs in Thamal, tourist sites like the Garden of Dreams and the former Royal Palace.
The hotel staff were so friendly, engaging and helpful. The hotel has a pool up on level 7 with great views of Kathmandu. The only flaw with the pool is it is surrounded by the restaurant, so no one swims in it.
I had a suite the room was beautiful, very happy with the cleanliness and room service. The only flaw with the room is that it backed on to the service area for staff who were all working very hard, but there was banging and clanging all night and morning.

GGuest UserI stayed here in Kathmandu after arriving for my ABC trek, and it's a really great place. The security and front desk staff are very welcoming! What's most important for someone like me, who isn't great at English, is that the front desk ladies and the owner all speak Chinese, which is super convenient. They can also help you call a taxi or answer the phone when you're heading out. The room was very clean! If I ever come back to Nepal, I'll definitely choose this hotel again. The owner can even help book flights, and they're very affordable.
HHouzhengmengThe hotel boasts an excellent location, modern facilities, and an elegant ambiance, with superb service. The breakfast spread was particularly impressive, and the staff even prepared a special farewell cake and ceremony. My only regret is that all the surfaces in the room were covered in a layer of dust, despite the overall appearance of cleanliness.
GGuest UserA nice hotel a short walk from the middle of Thamel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Gym is small, but has a nice view overlooking Kathmandu. The hotel is very quiet considering how loud the area is around it. I would recommend this hotel.

Great
TTansenThis is a brand new hotel, located around other nice hotels. The service at Dusit was excellent and the view of the valley from the 12th floor bar was fabulous. Rooms are large and nice and the breakfast is superb. I would like to especially point to the friendly and helpful service staff at the entrance, the check-in counter (especially Mr. Santosh), and at the bar (Mr. Sumit). Highly recommended!
Mmagnolia68This is one of the few modern and sophisticated hotels you'll find in Nepal. I booked a room without breakfast because my schedule was uncertain. After arriving and seeing the hotel's condition, I decided to book breakfast for the next day. The international buffet offered a diverse and clean selection of food, and it was delicious. Amidst the chaos and noise of Kathmandu, I had a quiet and clean stay here and left feeling well-rested. The quality was much higher than a 300,000 won hotel in Pokhara.
GGuest UserI had a very pleasant stay at Crown Imperial Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made for a relaxing experience. The hotel facilities were also kept tidy and in good condition throughout my stay.
What stood out most was the customer service. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive to requests, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would be happy to return or recommend Crown Imperial Hotel to others.
BBernard VoonThe hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy.
The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped.
The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try.
Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

Very Good
JJohn Vincent (JV)Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve.
Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all.
The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great.
2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges.
Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience.
Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days.
Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern.
Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager.
A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.
