Fantastic hotel by the old docks of Cardiff, close to the Train station and the city center, but also close to Cardiff bay, which is a lovely place for a walk.
The Hotel overall was very good, good rooms and a very good breakfast selection for the budget traveler.

Rooms are not generally clean. The first room we were given was very smelly. Asked staff to change it and was promptly given other room. Booked for kids and there was a sofa bed but no beddings which I had to request them later. AC does not work and it is very hot.

The hotel is very close to Cardiff Bay, and many attractions such as Mermaid Pier and Millennium Center are within a 10-minute walk, making it easy to visit. But it is a bit far from Cardiff Central Station, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the room was just what we needed after a long day of travelling. It would have been nicer if we had a bath
In the room but that is just personal preference. It was clean and tidy and we had tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
We were only a twenty minute walk from town a perfect distance to walk into town and walk back safely the route is well lit and pretty straight forward.
The breakfast was fantastic and it is served overlooking the bay so a lovely morning view.
The breakfast was buffet and we had multiple trips up and down to enjoy all the food. Our favourite was the pancake machine with the strawberry jam it was delicious.

After the hotel was renovated, it felt modern and clean. I booked a standard double bed room for 2 nights. When I checked in, I was told that there were no double bed rooms but only two single bed rooms. After I checked in, I found out that the toilet was broken but there was strong urine pressure in the toilet. The smell was so unpleasant that I had to help wash the toilet. The hotel was not very clean. The location is close to Mermaid Quay & Millennium Center, a 16-minute walk away. Breakfast for two is included. If you drive by car, you will be charged a parking fee of GBP10 per day.
