Vila Baleira Suites

Hôtel très bien situé avec piscine accès direct sur une très belle plage de sable blanc chambre pratique petit déjeuner de qualité. Bon rapport qualité prixPossibilité d aller à pied au centre ville en 40 minutes avec quelques restaurants.

Excellent experience, both in terms of accommodation and in terms of service from the staff, 5 stars. Excellent beach, great water. Location around the pool (Bar) Ilhéu works excellently with very friendly service. As for the dining room, always with impeccable service.

First of all, in almost 20 years of traveling around the world we have NEVER eaten so well as in the "suites" restaurant.. and even in Italy, it is difficult to find a restaurant where you can eat at this level! Hold onto this chef! (P.s.: we had a package that allowed us to ALWAYS eat there, I recommend you request it, the same package offers you free umbrella and sunbeds otherwise you have to pay). Then, 5-star "suites" staff, and even more... ALL... reception, lounge, bar, ALL extraordinarily kind and available "all-round" in satisfying any need! The beach is BEAUTIFUL, immense and beautiful! The island of Porto Santo is equally beautiful, in its own small way, I recommend you go around it, either by renting a car (you can rent it directly here), or by taxi (it costs a few €), there are really fantastic places where you can take beautiful photos ( landscape similar to the Canary Islands). As for the rooms... they are not really "suites".. some rooms do not have a bidet, the tubs have curtains, plugs without any support on which to place perhaps a phone to charge or something else (not even in the bathroom), dimensions ok for couples but not much for families (if you have 2 children I find it tough...), in short, for being a new building as they say, they could "do" something more... The gym on the beach needs fixing... Very nice Thalasso therapy. In the "central" building of Vila Baleira you have entertainment, 4 padel courts, and self-service restaurants (in the "suites" you are served by waiters) Thanks to Pietro from "futura" and ALL the staff! Good morning, I am a travel agent and I recommend this property. Excellent rooms, also equipped with a working kitchen. Excellent cleanliness and service at reception, for those traveling with FUTURA VACANZE the possibility of having breakfast here (small but well-kept and quiet room), or having it at the Atlantic restaurant in Vila Baleira (restaurant with more choice but chaotic), on the suites side to the Vila Baleira part there is a 3 minute walk. Lunch for Futura customers is taken at Vila Baleira, however there is the possibility of a plus package which offers lunch served by the pool in the suites part (very refined and characteristic). Again for Futura customers, dinner must be had at Vila Baleira, but there is a free one served at the table in the suites. For the wellness center (beautiful and well-kept), you go to the Vila Baleira area. Well-kept pool area, with the guys very good at making cocktails, there's no need to even go to the beach, because you're practically already on the beach. If I really had to find a flaw, I recommend changing the color of the walls in the corridors which are a bit gloomy and using less garlic in the food. Tranquility is the watchword.

The location is incredible. Right on the beach with direct access via the pool. The breakfast has enough variety. The food in general is nothing special, in fact on the whole island I didn't find anything that surprised me. The best was the bolo do caco at João do Cabeço which is opposite the hotel. All the staff we dealt with were always impeccable with us. The Suites has been and is being "restored" or "renovated" and some things stand out. Nothing serious!?!?. However, as an example, the shower in the bathtub needed maintenance (which I requested but they never took care of) and the toilet itself was always spilling water (for a hotel with the usual environmental concerns, it doesn't make sense to ask guests to be careful with the towels and sheets and then wasting water in this way). In any case, these are minimal things that do not tarnish the overall experience in any way. I can't help but criticize this because the rooms don't have very good soundproofing, the entrance doors are not the most appropriate, they let all the noise from other guests in the corridors through, including children's tantrums at 7am. Price in summer much higher than the hotel's reality (three times more than at Vila Baleira Resort) is not worth it but the wife wanted to try it.

Some of the staff were very helpful, but there was little explanation of the facilities, and there were no instructions in the rooms either, so it was hard to understand. There was a Portuguese restaurant across the street from the hotel, which was convenient. The breakfast was simple for the price.

It's time to rethink what they're going to do to Luamar. Either they reinvest and focus on quality or it doesn't make any sense to continue charging the prices they charge as a result of their good reputation in the past. I have stayed at Luamar several times and the degradation is evident. Dirty kitchen, disgusting cutlery full of ants, TV cables that don't work year after year, damaged furniture, and now no PA service, which has no explanation since the outside bar is working. Today at checkout we asked for a taxi 45 minutes in advance of the time we were supposed to arrive at the airport. Unfortunately, there were no taxis available at PS and we waited more than 60 minutes, without the hotel itself having a transfer service in case of SOS, precisely for these circumstances that must be more than frequent. My score is not lower because of the friendliness of the staff, the location and the relationship with local restaurants. I sincerely hope they can improve.
