It’s a wonderful hotel, with great staff services and yummy breakfast. It could have been better if they make sure the shampoo and body wash are properly filled before we checked in.

A superb country hotel where comfort and hospitality is at the forefront of everyone’s stay. From check in to departure staff could not have been more friendlier or helpful. Our first floor room, 101 was a front corner facing room over the car park, a lovely room with a good amenities, including a small fridge, coffee machine and safe. We had a large bed and a huge walk in shower. (Comfortable room) Breakfast was enjoyable, No full English breakfast, but don’t despair there is plenty to eat, including yoghurt, berries, cereal's, cold meats, salmon, cake, danish pastries, boiled eggs and a pancake machine. It takes 60 seconds to cook and it rolls out onto your plate! It was most enjoyable. You need to ‘book’ a time for breakfast when you check in. The restaurant is due to be completed and open in June. The hotel has been renovated to a Luxurious high standard with fine decor, furniture and plants. The garden and grounds and well maintained but some outdoor seating and furniture wouldn’t go amiss. I would highly recommend a stay here, my only criticism is to myself for not booking more than two a two night stay! We booked through ‘Secret Escapes’ which included a cream tea with a small glass of Prosecco, a nice touch.

This beautiful hotel did not disappoint. The hotel, the grounds and staff were first class. The breakfast was quality, fresh and delicious. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. The attention to detail was refreshing. A real luxury escape , we will be returning

Met up with friends for 3 night break. Building in course of renovation & full kitchen yet to be opened. Whilst some rooms are cosy they are reasonably well equipped. Staff extremely helpful as we decided to stay extra night. The Continental breakfast lacks nothing & sets you up well for the day. Close to numerous places of interest.

Where do I start? You must stay here if you love a hotel with history, that is beautiful and has staff that care about you and your stay ... we are still visiting, but couldn't wait to review until we got home - that is how amazing this hotel is. Originally built in 1895, the current owners purchased it last year and have done a sympathetic restoration to the internal and external building. The first night we stayed we were looking it's history up (we were that in awe of it's beauty) - to truly appreciate what the new owners have done to the hotel and grounds - go to YOUTUBE and watch the Urban Explorers video of the "abandoned" Caer Rhun Hall (we found it our first night) . We were amazed to see on this video the abandoned Teddy and Pig - as we had seen them still in the hotel earlier that first night ...as you watch the video you see how much has been saved and restored. Our first evening was spent in the bar, chatting to the staff (YES ... they are busy, but still make time to chat to you. The staff friendliness, caring nature and attentive service, made the whole weekend SO special. But in the evening they went around and lit candles all over the hotel and dimmed the lights - we just truly relaxed...listening to instrumental music of well known songs and reminiscing to where we heard that tune! The grounds are phenomenal with bluebell meadows, enormous rhododendron bushes and a huge swing seat for big kids (or so we told ourselves) to use hanging from a cone tree that must to 100's old. Our room was a small double with en-suite bathroom with shower over - very small but perfectly appointed. Breakfast was delicious, with a self-making pancake machine, egg boiler and a range of cereals, fruit, juices, pastries, bara brith the list is endless... would we stay here again (well we will be leaving grudgingly and will definitely book again ... when it's not raining and to try the restaurant that is opening by the end of May 2024

OMG such a beautiful hotel I would go further and say interior is one of the best I’ve stayed in worldwide. The staff are an absolute credit to this hotel. The cleaners do an amazing job job The gardens are also kept immaculate. We were told continental breakfast but it was far more than that it had more choice than I have ever seen before. The amenities in the rooms are above and beyond what would be expected for the price. Good luck on your new restaurant and everything that you have planned for the future.

Having just had two nights at the hotel l have to say there are good and not so good things regarding the hotel. The good points are the staff are very obliging and helpful in every way. We had a room overlooking the garden which was adequate in size but the shower was on the small side and for a smaller person the mirror is far to high. The biggest complaint l would have is that there is no warm food available at this hotel . They do not have a restaurant for dinner so you are forced to get in your car and drive to get an evening meal. The fact that everyone has to drive for a meal means there is nobody in the hotel and that means there is nobody in the bar thus no a**osphere whatsoever other than silence. This l would suggest costs the hotel lost revenue in that we would have eaten there had they had a restaurant and probably a drink or two subsequently. The room we had on booking . Com would have been £400 for two nights with no cooked breakfast , l find that not good value for money . I’m afraid l will not be returning.

What a stunning place! From start to finish, my wife and I were made to feel instantly welcome, the staff were fantastic and extremely friendly. We stayed overnight and the bed was the comfiest bed ever, the breakfast was continental and was beautiful, everything imaginable for breakfast was catered for. The hotel itself is just stunning and the grounds and the scenery is breathtaking. Thank you to you all, we had a brilliant time and will be stopping again for sure 👌
