Despite the C19 restrictions the trip has been amazing. The staff is gentle, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and cozy.
The location of the hotel is very convenient, car park included and hotel decoration full of details and interesting stories.

OK, Black boy inn is a good stay at a good place in Caernarfon. We 've had a problem with meat cooking asking for "blue" cooking and getting "mid rare" and "no possibility to get what we asked". they took it off -without charging- but without explaination. In fact the manager, nexy day, explain that, by county regulation, meat could'nt be served "Blue" (for prophylactic reasons), and that's why the waitress said "if we change this steak for another one, the second one will come the same"... It would have been better to explain first and refuse the ordering as it was... "Oh Lord! please, don't let me be misunderstood", as a famous Welch used to sing!

Went for food with the family like we have before. The tables were for 4 but we are a family of 5. So my husband moved a chair like has been done before. The attitude on The blond elderly woman that workes there when she ran over was stinking!! Fair to say we finished our over priced any way drinks and left! We are regulars to the place but wont be going back! No neud to be taledig to like sh!t

Place is good, rooms are pleasant. but, restaurant... we asked for a bloody/extra-rare steak. it comes pink and dry: texture of a medium cooked meat. Chef said he can't do anything about it: " it's the color of the meat". Well, no, it's not. 1) you can talk about color all you want, texture does not lie. 2) it's Chief pride ; ok, but it was "just" a 28£ steak so we hoped to have it as WE like it, not how HE does! 3) it was a racing bull: usually they are not for cooking ... here, it's Wales, not Madrid. 4)Chief, tired, should give his chance to the second. in fact the precept in trade is to please the client : here they forgot.

An amazing experience to sleep in a property within the walls of Caernarfon. All the staff were very helpful. Our room was very comfortable although the pillows were too firm in my opinion. The breakfast was a winner and special mention to Delwyn who was so very helpful at the breakfast service and prevented me from burning the Inn down using the toaster!!! Parking is arranged by the staff and we managed to park at the side of the Inn at a cost of £10 per night. However there is free parking a short walk from the hotel.

I use te Black Boy regularly.Today's meal was excellent..Seafood chowder had just been made so was incredibly fresh...It was so full of seafood and a great flavour.There was also a great wedge of bread and 2 pats of Welsh butter. The service was very good as usual...

Dinner and drinks. Really enjoyed our evening we sat in the front bar for dinner had a good laugh withe two barmaids who worjed like troopers all night but were really nice. Food was great proper pub grub and reasonably priced. Was busy with both locallys and tourists. Advice would be to book a table but if not tge food is worth the wait.

An overnight delight at this wonderful historic inn. Not your usual chain hotel experience but something much better. Good food, good real ale, well-appointed bedroom and bathroom. The sense of place perfect for a visit to this amazing town. Will be back.
