Hotel Tropiq

An old, outdated inn. The only good things are the budget price and the friendly staff. I wouldn’t stay there again.

I would not suggest this hotel if you have budget. The hotel do not provide daily service. The location is far from the city Center, it’s takes 30mins walk.

Good value for money. When you book you must check before if you get a room with view to garden or corridor withno outside view. Nice pool are withtropical palm feeling. Very friebdly staff

We stayed only one night during a flight stopover. The hotel is relatively close to the airport and clean and comfortable. The late check-in was easily done.

The photos make the hotel appear better than it actually is. It offers reasonable value for money, but you do get what you pay for. The décor and facilities are quite dated, although it seems some effort has been made to modernise parts of the room. Unfortunately, cleanliness was an issue during our stay. We saw cockroaches running around inside the room, which was concerning. It’s unclear whether this is due to the tropical climate or poor pest control. On the positive side, the sheets and towels were clean and smelled fresh. Trevor at reception was friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. The laundry facilities consist of basic domestic washing machines and a dryer, but the laundry room itself was not very clean. It would also be helpful if there were a small table or basket available so guests could fold their clothes after washing. There is no daily room cleaning, so bins are not emptied and toilet paper and towels are not replaced unless requested. Luggage storage is self-service, meaning guests place their bags in the storage room themselves and can access them at any time. The pool is very small—more like a children’s pool. The room includes amenities such as a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, kettle, microwave, cutlery, and crockery. However, several of these items were not clean, and the drying towel smelled damp while the washing sponge was dirty. Parking on-site is limited, though there appears to be plenty of street parking available. The location is about a 30-minute walk to the centre, or around a 7-minute walk to a bus stop with a 15–20 minute bus ride into town. The bus runs approximately once per hour. Overall, if cleanliness and pest control were improved, the hotel would be acceptable for the price.

It isn't an upscale hotel, but its near the city center and has good amenities, wifi, mini fridge, and microwave.

Our room was clean and there were amenities provided such as soap, shower gel/shampoo, a hairdryer and a fridge. A good place to stay but it is a bit of a walk to the city centre.

Try to avoid at any cost; worst possible place I've stayed till date. Spring mattress which was very uncomfortable, room smelt so bad, walls cracked and broken. Picture shown are deceiving and doesn't justify what you get, be ready to be dissapointed. No doona at all, was told blanket was available which was dusty and worn out. Room service not provided daily as they want to preserve the environment as mentioned; more of a cheap stake motel. Walkable distance to the beach but the area seems a bit off too.
