I’ll start with what’s really good about this hotel- The cleaning staff! are a credit to the hotel, the rooms were very clean and ready on arrival, the toilets on site always maintained to a good standard. The loungers around the pool were quite grubby but this was because of your typical pool ‘lounger hogging’ behaviour during the early hours of the morning when the cleaners jet hose the rest of the loungers and were too polite to remove them. The reception staff are also very nice and the evening bar staff. The location- there is a cove (very busy) and bars a short walk away and a bus that stops outside the hotel back gates to citaduella. Be careful what times you go as there are a set number of buses a day and reception staff didn’t know much about them. We had a pool facing balcony and it faced the sun almost all day it was lovely, I’ve seen other people complain about pool music but we went in July and there was no music whatsoever all day. The evening entertainment was on until about 10.30 most evenings and you could hear that as the rooms have no soundproofing. It’s more of an issue that you have to wake up when the neighbouring guest does for their early flight in my opinion. Now for the bad, Oh the food. The reason you see it on nearly all reviews is because it really is THAT bad. The food I had here is possibly the worst I’ve ever had anywhere and after a week it really changed our mood in the heat of July. We ate out for a few days but like most people who go AI we were sadly doing it on a budget. I’m not a fussy eater but there were dishes put out that just didn’t taste or look right at all. Pool bar is your usual stuff, the ice cream is good! The breakfast is okay, we met a couple a few days into our stay who recommended we fill up on pastry’s and fruit at breakfast bc dinner was so terrible and they were so right! The one day we were off on an excursion and we didn’t finish all of the breakfast, rather than waste the pastry my partner had on his plate (we were aware of the no food taken from the restaurant policy) we asked the waiter who was usually very nice if we could wrap it up for our excursion and he shouted at us in the middle of the restaurant and angrily pointed to the sign. We were aware of the sign which is why we thought to ask first and he could’ve just said no there was no need for his manner. He put it in the bin which was actually quite horrible and embarrassing but sad knowing this hotel would just waste food, we have asked hotels in menorca before and they’ve provided us a lunch to take! His attitude changed toward us after that and we avoided him daily. The drinks at the bar are ok but beware they are not all included in your package and it wasn’t made clear which ones were free either. The Pool- This isn’t a huge hotel and I think they need to work on their sunlounger policy, there were people putting towels on a lounger and then not using it all day then doing it the day after too. As a couple who
