Upon our arrival at the reception the hotel looked nice, pleasant reception area and that’s where it ends or starts with my review. Reception. We booked a suite and upon arrival we were told we know you booked a suite but there are none available until tomorrow. We were persuaded to have a superior room for the night and they would refund us the difference. That’s €6/7 for the night. Approximately the price of a pack or Oreo’s in the supermarket but I’ll get to that. 3/10 Room 1. So upon entering the “new” Superior room we were talked into for the night it was obvious there was nothing superior about it. It was an average bedroom with 2 single beds and living room with a sofa bed already turned into a bed with a mattress thinner than Homer Simpson hairline. Ended up sleeping on an oversized ottoman as it was more comfortable than the sofa bed. Morning came and I woke after sleeping on practically an ironing board I stretched off to go and swap rooms. the lady on reception did give me the key for the new room and I was refunded the difference between rooms for the weekend totalling €67 wasn’t expecting it but least they could do after giving my room away. 1/10 New Room. Got to the new room, cleaner was still in there. So we stood outside for 20 minutes whilst she finished up, now I love a clean room more than the next man but just don’t give me the key if it’s not ready. Anyway, Walked in, pleasantly surprised. Room was clean obviously, spacious and what we had paid for. Master bedroom looked nice, super king size 4 poster bed, infinity mirror feature and an actual mattress. 2nd bedroom was okay too, 2 single beds but separated, not like your typical room with the single beds pushed together. However the toilet situation is one that cannot be explained. It was basically an old BT Phonebox from the UK with some protective glazed paper covering the part where you sit and do your business. There was no lock on the door and to make things worse, it was on a hinge that didn’t close correctly. So we all spent the week holding the door for somebody else whilst they were in the toilet so you didn’t see everybody in their glory. And to top it off there was barely room to fit in this telephone box as it was tighter than a ducks backside. Overall new room was okay but the toilet killed it off. 1/10 Pool. Pool area was massive, giant pool with a kids pool round the back and a splash area for kids too next to another kids pool. Kids pools were all okay plenty to do for 2- 7 year olds not much for the older kids or adults. The adult pool had a shallow end of 1.5 metres and a deep end of 2.5 metres. So no shallow end. There was also a big tree overlooking the pool. With the many seagulls hanging around and Landing on the branches the pool was full of tree branches, and what looked like bird foul and weirdly enough polystyrene balls everywhere. At one point there was food wrappers just floating in the pool, now I know that’s not the Hotels fault but ther

How do I begin to share my thoughts about a fabulous hotel complex . Well I think it starts at the top . the manager and his assistant section managers have got this hotel performing to an incredible standard the general staff must be motivated to a high standard because it shows at every level . The first staff member you will meet will be the receptionist, very happy and polite fast check in with a smile , the restaurant staff are excellent and the food is brilliant every thing is cooked to perfection, the bar staff are very polite and fast also with a smile . The entertainment crew are brilliant different themed nights of the week . The housekeepers do a lovely job to the rooms and again are always happy ,Just two more things I would like to add about the staff , the gardens to the complex are manicured to a very professional standard , the last time I saw gardens as good was in a hotel in Barbados . And my last is that the pool hygienist keeps the 4 pools in perfect condition. This hotel complex is suitable for families with little one , older people like myself and my wife and single couples. I will be back next year without doubt . If I was the CEO of Blue sea I would be very proud of this hotel it’s just how a perfect hotel group should be

Last min solo traveler, I wanted to enjoy last European warm days, 1st time in Mallorca, didn’t research well what to do where to go, so I wanted to relax in Cal D’or, this hotel is perfect! 50 mtrs from the bus stop, and like 3 blocks from a great small Cala, 100 mts from a main street w shops restaurants bars etc, the room is spotless, hairdryer, a balcony if you want to smoke, a pool (i never use pools but for the ones who do) the price is unbelievable and the basic breakfast buffett is great, I wd recommend this to all my friends And I loved the lemon tree close to my balcony!
Sentido Fido Tucan - Beach Hotel

Stepping in through the entrance I thought I had entered a spa ,tranquil , contemporary reception which smelt amazing .reception efficiently processed the necessary paperwork whilst we sipped a welcoming drink ,phew just breathe. No need to pay extra for towels or use of safe this is included. The Tucan is ideally situated a few steps from shops and beautiful beach Cala gran . We stayed in a third floor room with a side sea view. A bottle of water was in the small fridge which we used to keep our own drinks in . Tv had good reception with English channels wi fi was reliable . The bed was large and comfortable and I slept really well .air con seemed to work really well although in October not as hot as summer months. Bathroom waterfall shower was really lovely ,hairdryer was powerful and quick to dry my hair.room kept spotless by the team of maids that worked tirelessly to keep everywhere gleaming. Food was delicious ,breakfast amazing variety of hot and cold food.lunch at the snack bar was restaurant quality absolutely spot on. Dinner was varied and a different theme available each night , a huge choice and the desserts were absolutely delicious , best I have had at an a.I. Hotel. The pool area is clean and has multiple sun bed s, Bali beds never overcrowded a nice atmosphere with the animator friendly and inclusive but not over zealous.the small gym and spa were clean and the jacuzzi relaxing. Evening entertainment was easy going usually a vocalist and it everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves, helped no doubt by the unwavering efforts of the bar staff who worked tirelessly to ensure everyone’s glass was never empty for more than a moment .remembering what you you like to drink and delivered with a smile despite being so busy. All the staff at the hotel are so engaging and helpful and make you feel so welcome they are what makes the Tucan fly above other hotels I have stayed at .if you stay you will want to return again and again ……
Gavimar la Mirada Hotel and Apartments
3.5/541 Reviews
Hi guys, for some context I am a 22 year old lad from Sussex who visited La Mirada with 2 of my mates my age. Firstly, the room is very basic but that is to be expected. Nothing wrong with the room itself, however the shower was awful. The water pressure is pathetic, I’ve had more powerful wees. The shower also randomly goes very hot and then very cold without you changing the water temperature. Other than that, the room was fine. The beer here was lovely, however the cocktails were super weak. The swimming pool closes at about 6PM for what seems to be for no real reason? The entertainment was terrible (however I am a young lad so imagine it just isn’t my bag). There are children’s mini discos every night with the same 4 annoying songs. Then there is a mix of bingo or something else along these lines, it just felt very half-****d and not very well prepared. The food was okay, there is something for everyone. I found it to be very hit or miss. Some lunches/dinners were actually really nice, but others seemed to be overcooked/undercooked/cold but I guess that’s just the luck of the draw? One thing I would say, is the catering staff are incredible, very friendly and super helpful. During the day, they play about 8 songs on repeat (not an exaggeration) and it made me want to stick ear defenders on. The songs were Justin Bieber, Mikey Cyrus & other ‘pop-like’ rubbish - but again, this music just isn’t my bag. Would highly recommend the sun bed area at the hotel which is quiet and an overall nice place to chill out and get some bevvies down you. The nearest beach is only about a 2 minute walk away, however when we went it was very small. There were loads of people even in Mid October and there wasn’t much space to swim around in. It would be worth paying for a taxi to take you a few miles down the coastline in my opinion. The sun beds are €5 per day each though which is good. Cala D’or town is about a 10/15 min walk from the hotel. The town itself is excellent. Plenty of night life, lovely bars and super restaurants. Would recommend Sky Bar if you’re looking for the footie. Being 3 lads, we were looking for some football, we watched the Prem 3 o’clocker & the 5:30 game and loved it there. Good staff there. Overall, for what we paid, it was a decent stay. Some things were poor, others good. An enjoyable holiday. Hope this helped.
Hotel Palia Dolce Farniente

My boys and I had 5 days/nights at this hotel and after reading some of the reviews we were very skeptical - there was no need to be and we really couldn't fault it one bit. Arrived at about 11 in the evening was quickly checked in and told that there was food in the restaurant if we were hungry, given it was only continental cold bits and bread but still a nice touch. Room was nice enough, spacious, clean enough (abit of sand on the floor) air con worked well. We found if you put any kind of card in the holder and leave it in then it pretty much stays on all day and night. Shower a little salty but nice enough. cleaners came in daily to make beds and put in fresh towels. We didn't bother with the safe but locked everything away in our case. Food really good, for all inclusive yes it does get very samey but there was plenty of choice and it was fresh and tasty, there was themed nights and show cooking (eggs, pancakes, chicken, fish etc) We never struggled to find something we liked. The only little down side in the restaurant was that there was one toaster which you'd have to queue up to use for breakfast but we managed it and I wouldn't down rate it for that! Throughout the day the snack bar was open for burgers, hot dogs and crepes and fruit and pastries, drinks were good enough for us - help your self to beer, water on tap, hot drinks machine, juices and fizzy pops. Entertainment around the pool was also very good, the team did water aerobics and various other things through out the day and then put on shows in the evening, again all very good. The only thing I would say is that the hotel caters for the French, there is alot of French spoken by the staff however they also said most things in English and Spanish, there were a few English families and none of us felt left out or that it was a problem. Its a big hotel and was quite busy but you never struggled to find a table to sit at for your meals and there was always plenty of sunbeds and seating around the pools. The pools were lovely, there are shops and a couple of bars outside and a beach 5 mins one way and another 10 mins the other way. The internet that you can pay for is abit hit and miss in places, as the hotels big we couldn't get it in our room but the kids just hot spotted from mine. Personally I would say pay the extra on your phone bill if you can rather that paying their price for it if you want to be on the internet alot. On check out day we had to check out by 12 but we checked out after breakfast, the AI band stayed on and we put our cases inside a little room for safe keeping and enjoyed the rest of the day around the pool, You can still use all facilities until you leave and they even gave us a key to a spare room to shower and get ready before we left. All in all the staff work had and the hotel its self is really nice for a 3star we really couldn't complain about anything and would happily go back!
