We booked a room on the 3rd floor of the Grupotel Aguait Resort & Spa (340), with great big beds, lots of closet space (as well as enough coat hangers), a big TV with several German-language channels and a rain shower and hairdryer in the bathroom. From the balcony we had a fantastic sea view - if you got up early you could see the sunrise. However, you also have to like the usually strong and loud sound of the waves - otherwise put in earplugs or book a room on the other side. The room, which was heated up by the sun in the morning hours, could not be cooled down by the air conditioning, as the heating mode was still set on the hotel side at the time we were there. The internet reception was not quite as good outside the hotel building (on the balcony or on the loungers by the pool). The food, on the other hand, was great. We had booked half board (a delicious and extensive breakfast buffet and dinner also in buffet form - also super delicious). During the day you could order small but fine snacks from the pool bar. In general we were very satisfied with the service. From the subtle entertainment and the opportunity to take part in sports courses, the warm welcome from the men at the reception desk, the women and men in the dining area/pool bar, through to the cleaning staff. The pool was not very busy when we were there and there were always enough free loungers (it was still quite cool despite the sunshine). The hotel is a little outside of Cala Ratjada. However, you can walk to the centre in around 20 minutes - there are also various shops there (public bus runs every hour / stops in front of the hotel). Bicycles and cars can be rented on site. There were also 2 charging stations for electric cars. It was usually difficult to find a parking space for the rental car directly at the hotel, so you had to use the surrounding residential streets. We really enjoyed our stay at a Grupotel again.
