Stayed here as a group, on a medical outreach program to Mindoro. 6 night stay. Very comfortable hotel for the price with friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is set back from the road a little, with gated entry and just opposite a large mall. Only about 10 mi it’s or so from the port, via which we arrived from Batangas City on the ferry. Airy reception with, as I say, friendly and efficient staff. This is old school so one is presented with an old fashioned key on a chain of which there is only one per room. So, as we were sharing on this trip, it is essential to put your key behind reception when you leave to avoid locking your roommate out of the room inadvertently. The rooms are pretty typical of hotel rooms worldwide. Comfortable beds and a bathroom with over the tub shower. Whilst I am on that subject, we were unable to coax anything more than tepid water from it during our stay and I’m not really a fan of cool showers! Housekeeping also seems hit and miss. There are small signs one pits on the bed to have it made up but these went unheeded a couple of times. Also the bathroom supplies are sp**** and weren’t replaced regularly during our stay. I am sure one can make representations to reception to have these things done but we didn’t. Sleeping on the reception side of the hotel meant it was very quiet. However, be aware that those that overlook the pool are also close to the bar which can be quite noisy apparently, according to some of my colleagues. There is a weird thing if you choose, as I did, to use the stairs rather than the elevator to access your room. The bottom step of the second flight is several centimeters taller than all the others. This may not seem a big deal but I tripped twice going upstairs and a member of our party turned her ankle there so be warned. We were served breakfast every day, and ate one dinner at the pleasant dining space. The food was simple but well presented and tasty. Overall a very comfortable stay and I’d stay here again without hesitation. They will also provide a laundry service for next to no cost which proved very useful on our trip

We stayed at Blue Crystal Beach Resorts for two weeks. We had the most wonderful time resting, sightseeing, island hopping and walks around the neighborhood. Breakfast is free which makes it taste even better, hahaha! On the serious side, the encounters we have had with the staff are phenomenal! Greets you with the sweetest biggest smile!!! Always asking if there is anything we need for our room, prepared our meals accordingly, at times even gave us the option if there is anything we wanted to eat out of the menu. They even go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure we have eaten before they leave for the night, how amazing is that! Truly unheard off! Thank Dolor and Annalyn for going the extra mile so we didn’t starve for the night. Thank you to Lucy and Ram for preparing our meals according to our dietary guidelines and make taste yummy! Thank you Phia, Josie and the rest of the staff whom kept our room very clean, well stocked and smelled really good. Until our next stay, take care of yourselves! I’ve just spent 10 days at El Galleon diving with friends. I can’t say enough positive things about this resort. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned with care. The food is delicious and plentiful. We chose the full board option which made it so convenient to plan meals around dive times. Asia divers is one of the best dive operations I’ve experienced. They have a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. From the first day when we dropped off our dive gear until the last day of diving, our equipment was taken care of, tanks were set up between dives and all we had to do was have fun! The diversity of marine life in Puerto Galera is extraordinary. From thresher sharks to mimic octopuses, we saw so much. Finally, a shout out to Allison who took such good care of us. This resort has it all. Don’t hesitate to plan a dive vacation here.

The location is excellent at the ocean front, the food is varied, and the price is OK. The view from the room is not good, and cockroaches appear at midnight. Maybe better pest control. Overall good evaluation.

I'd like to graciously comment that to some extent, we had a good and fulfilling stay except for an uncomfortable experience in meeting a few ”defensive” staff of Jack Daniel Apartments. I would kindly suggest that next time, please welcome your guests warmly first before telling it to their face the cost of (e.g.) extra mattress for each night, missing bath towel, etc. I think it's intimidating to confront the guests with ”this and that prices” when they have just arrived. I regret to say that some staff were defensive in their explanation. Another intimidating act was the suggestion of Ms. Jocie for us to book another room with two superior bedrooms, when our booking confirmation stated 4 adults and 4 children. It was just relieving when she finally honoured the Agoda Booking Confirmation, but not after hours of long discussions 😢. Anyhow, I wasn't very glad to pay Php 2,000. for two extra mattresses for our additional two school children; and even this amount is high. We liked the swimming pool and the gardens. The property must have seen long years but well maintained. Despite my experience with a few intimidating staff, I'd like to thank Jack Daniel Apartments.

Checked in on the 18th, the environment is very good, the service is very thoughtful, very safe, there are hotel staff guarding the door at night! A special mention is that this restaurant is really great. I recommend going to her house for dinner. I ordered three or four dishes and it was dazzling! (PS On the second day of check-in, I left my phone on the chair by the pool after swimming. When I found out that I was looking for it, the hotel staff just delivered it to the door of the room very enthusiastically. Thank you so much!)

Another fantastic stay at the Manara. It’s been a while due to the pandemic. They have been busy making a lot of expansion and enhancing the place all together, they even added another pool! The ambiance is very chill, it was peaceful and serene. The food was all top notch too, great selections of nice local offerings as well as fine imports.
