The facilities and the reception were exceptional, but the housekeeping or not told us that we had to clean ourselves and the towels were changed because I called the reception. For the rest I recommend it, quiet place and in a good place

I have just spent a week here as a solo traveler and really enjoyed it. I have stayed before so I did know what to expect however you never know which apar**ent you will get. Mine was fairly modern with a new bathroom. People were complaining about the beds being uncomfortable and I have had previous experience of that but this time I had a very comfortable bed and slept so good. The walk to the nearest shop is about 7 minutes and yes it is a fairly steep hill. But there are bars and restaurants there too. The walk to town, is longer and I would probably say if you walk quite fast it'll take you about 20 minutes. I walked every morning down to the sea front, along either left to the rock pool or right to atlantico. This made sure I did my 10,000 steps a day. If you are hard of walking, hard of breathing or lazy, this is not for you. Book somewhere near town like the Ereza Mar or Elba San Jorge. But if you want a quiet base, basic amenities, a lovely walk, a bar on site and plenty of sunbeds. You will love it here.

Okay, this place isn't the ultimate best. But I had to keep bearing in mind that the two of us got 2 weeks, with flights, including two 20kg bags, in the middle of January for about £760. This was frankly a couple of hundred quid cheaper than anywhere else I could find in the Canaries. That is quite simply stonkingly cheap! I've seen a real mix of reviews about this place, some great and some horrendous. And I came to the conclusion, that as per usual, the truth lies in the middle. So what did we like? We stayed in room 64 and it was south facing, the same as the majority, from what I saw, which meant the front got the sun all day. That suits us perfectly, as although we'd normally go onto the balcony, so you can just sit outside the room and sunbathe with a drink in hand. The room itself was perfectly adequate, with a cooker, microwave, kettle etc. I'm not quite sure if all the utensils were there, but we ate and cooked simple food and managed fine. A hairdyer was fitted in the bathroom. Everything worked okay, although, the front door had dropped fractionally, meaning it rubbed on the floor and we couldn't lock it until we learnt the knack of lifting the handle slightly at the same time as turning the key. We saw plenty of maintenance men around, so I'm sure if I'd actually got round to mentioning it it would have been repaired. I meant to report it as I checked out, but I forgot. The room was pleasantly large, with a large sofa/bed, a table and chairs, a sideboard and a TV, where the only British channel was Sky news. The beds were comfortable and there was adequate storage in the bedroom, which also had a safe. The bathroom was fine, with plentiful hot water and a nice shower. Nothing to compain about and overall the accommodation was perfectly adequate. The surrounding area was nothing to complain about and the pool area looked very pleasant, with sunbeds available at times, although we only really saw it while walking through. Again, it looked well maintained, to us. There's a small bar near the pool area and had a free pool table. There was no music blaring and it's all very relaxed. Which reminds me, it's very much a mixed demographic, with people of all ages, although I don't recall seeing and young children. And what didn't we like? Well, I've seen a smell mentioned a few times and I have to admit, there was in our room. It's hard to describe, but it didn't smell unpleasant and it quite frankly disappeared a couple of minutes after you walked in, because you quickly got used to it. I think I need to emphasise here, that it didn't smell unclean. If I had to guess, it's the smell of years old wood resin, which makes sense, because there's a lot of wood in the rooms. I'll emphasise again, it's not rotting wood or anything like that. It's just, well, an odd smell. If you're the sort who gets wound up easily and expects pleasant aromas, this place won't be for you. It's a small one, but the missus felt that the table was too large

Stayed here few years ago best complex up that area at that time so worth paying a little extra for a little get sway so decided to rebook in November for my birthday. OMG what a dump!!!. We had one cup, no forks, (had to buy some from shop!) 2spoons, 1butter knife. No toaster, no plates, oven not working, no blanket only thin sheet only 2towels!. Partner had to drink his coffee out of gravy boat! This was reported to reception on day we checked in….still not had any….waste of time. Gave up, bless a couple by us gave us a couple of plates & a cup. The were peoples bags of rubbish left on corners no bins outside to put them in. There were fag ends all over the gravel in front of our terrace. Room not cleaned once or given clean towels. No plugs in sink or bath. Again had to buy some. Can’t comment on pool as we didn’t think it would be clean didn’t want to stay in complex….filthy. I know you get what you pay for and we aren’t snobs as long as it’s clean. but I can I honestly say from when we stayed before it has gone down the in dumps, never again. I feel sorry for people who had kids with them

Place need updating 2 towels and toilet rolls supplied nothing else, pool areas nice but got stuck in the toilet no pool bar or snacks 1 AI bar no where to sit outside with drinks. Food is just OK but wouldn't recommend it breakfast is alright, only 2 staff 1 cooking the other serving at bar and cleaning tables,we had to clear our own plates. Rooms cleaned if you book it but still doesn't always happen many complaints. I would recommend for self catering or b n b nothing else but on the plus side people are friendly and the sun is shining I ended up with food poisoning

We booked this as a week all inclusive, returned on 29th August 2923, we stayed in the lake complex. The only advice I would give anyone is DO NOT stay here. We knew that there was no air conditioning but the heat inside the apar**ents is terrible, we asked reception for fans to be told you have to hire for 15 euros so I said fine but they then said we have none available, we ended up having to go and spend 60 euros on fans and this still didn't help as its blowing hot air around the rooms. The last 3 nights we ended up having to leave windows and doors open but then we couldn't sleep. The restaurant, if you can call it one, was disgusting, the food was horrible and only 8 options available, no child friendly menu at all. The bar wasn't open until 1030 am and closed at 10pm. The staff where shocking and made us feel like we were putting them out just by asking for a drink. The staff where not friendly or helpful, on arrival we had no bedding so I asked reception the response was I have none until tomorrow, we slept with no bedding the first night. We needed two more towels and reception again said I have none, it took me a further 4 days to get an extra 2 towels. Toilet roll we had to continually go to reception to ask as they give you one roll at a time. The bedroom wardrobe was moudly so we couldn't unpack our suitcases. One of the pools was in a bad way to the point my son cut his hand open when swimming and put his hand on the tile. The WiFi didn't work even after asking for the log in details. To end this was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at, I will not book to go back here and I warn anyone against booking in future.

Honest review The rooms : clean and tidy a little tired but they are starting to renovate them. No air con was a big problem for me, I did struggle at night and too much of a wuss to sleep with windows open for fear of cockroaches. Bar : all the drinks you would expect from AI and enjoyable not too strong so it’s like paint ******** Restaurant: your not going to starve if you come with no money, but the choice is limited and is not the most appealing. Like I said you get what you pay for ! Area: supermarket and bars close by to eat out or buy food to cook in your room. Beach: beautiful beach and harbour to the left - to the right more beautiful beach and some waste land where there are some chipmunks. The beach is a walk 20 mins down hill so back hill back up, try pick a cloudy day for your walks. Pool: three pools the one where the restaurant is, is the only AI bar. Remember a lot of guests are self catering so no need for all the pools to have AI bar. Always got a sun-bed. No entertainment for children which seems a shame and nothing going on in the evening. All in all a pleasant week away we for what we paid for and more even if we ate our more than we normally would at an all inclusive
