We have always loved staying here lovely grounds and pools, intimate setting The decor is comfortable and homey not cold or generic and they seem to be working on improving or updating the important things that get used and worn - newer firmer mattresses for example pool side furnishings - rather than replacing what continues to be serviceable The bed linen, pillows and towels are the very best The kitchenettes and parking are so convenient And some of the best staff ever

We have been staying here for years. We have tried some of the other places with Hot Springs in town but this is the one we come back. The pools are the right temperature. The grounds and rooms are good. The staff is always exemplary.

My friend and I have been coming together since 2014 and she had been coming for years before that. Says something right there. They do a great job of maintaining the property & are very professional.

I return to Calistoga at least annually and to the Roman Spa when there is availability for the rooms I like. My preference is the Roman Spa as I love their pools and their flowers. It is such a relaxing environment. A very quiet place in the off-season which is my preference.

The room was a glorified motor lodge and it was dark and dingy. The pictures on the website are very misleading. False advertising on the website said that the spa was open on Mondays. I booked my room with a spa session in mind but found out after booking that the spa was closed. The hotel would not refund my money or let me cancel my room with a month’s notice of cancellation. This stay was very disappointing. The fact that it was not accessible with no elevators was made known after I booked. My 72 yr old mother and I carried our suitcases up a flight of stairs with no assistance. I do not recommend this hotel. The spa building was not appealing either so do not schedule here thinking of a resort feel because you will not get it. It is a motel feel and not a resort!!!

Lovely stay walking distance to great restaurants in downtown Calistoga. Most relaxing thermal pools! Clean, comfortable rooms well-maintained grounds, and pleasant staff interactiions. Pretty expensive but nice for a special occasion.

Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort is a nice and well maintained place with an attentive staff. Their property is well kept with beautiful plants and flowers. Rooms has comfortable beds and pillows. They have three mineral pools of different temperatures. I hope we return to Roman Spa in near future.

Rooms were noisy with upstarts neighbors but that’s hard to avoid so we overlooked and it didn’t ruin our time. Some other guests would talk really loud outside the rooms as if they were the only ones there, days of Zoom calls are here. Again not faulting the facility just people’s lack of awareness for others. Also I have a temperamental back so the bed tore me up for a day or so but again not a deal breaker. There was plenty of good experiences that covered that up just fine. It was nice to have good conversation with liked mind folks that were also there to unwind. Overall, I can’t wait to return. The mud was not a do over but the massages we will do again.
