Movenpick Resort Cam Ranh

I really loved the hotel. The only downside was the elevators in the condo building where the apartments are located. There are only two of them, and staff use them starting at 7 AM to move carts, making it impossible for guests to get in. We often had to walk down the stairs. Also, there are no full-length mirrors, neither in the elevators nor the lobby, only two small ones in the room. But these are minor issues. The hotel itself is superb! The grounds are meticulously maintained and huge; you find yourself saying "wow" at every turn. We visited for our 10th wedding anniversary, and they even organized a dinner right on the beach despite the bad weather. Amazing! Our stay was fantastic 🫶 we'll definitely be back.

I liked everything except for two things. Firstly, the breakfast food could have been better, but it wasn't a major issue. However, the biggest drawback was the noise from the air conditioning system. If you appreciate quiet, you won't be able to sleep; it sounds like you're on an airplane. Imagine staying in a hotel with beautiful grounds, a beach, and the sea, but the noise in the room completely ruins the experience.

The service was very enthusiastic and the hotel activities were plentiful. However, the pool and all activities closed too early, at 6 PM. There were also quite a few gnats after dark.

Even though it's an older resort, it's still very well-equipped and professionally run. The most impressive part is the stunning beach with fine sand and clear water.

Everything was fine, but at night, the equipment (either from the pool or the air conditioning) hummed quite loudly.

Let me start with what I didn't like. First, it's Cam Ranh. If you book a hotel here, be aware that there's nothing around the hotel, and you'll need to take a taxi or a shuttle bus (which runs only once a day) to get to town. On the flip side, the hotel has a large, beautiful property. For a comparable price, I preferred the hotel on Hon Tre island where VinWonders is located. At least there are plenty of shops and cafes nearby. So, if you're staying here, you definitely need to book at least breakfast and dinner. And that's assuming you'll have lunch in town. If you go all-inclusive or breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it might get a bit boring here. The water park only has two slides, and that's it. The hotel is marketed as family-friendly, but the beds in the rooms are narrow. It's almost impossible to stay in a standard room with a child. We had two beds, each 1.1 meters wide. You could push them together if the child is small and put them in the middle, but the immovable bedside tables get in the way. The most frustrating part is that an extra bed isn't cheap, and even then, they didn't have any available! They offered to switch us to a villa, but the surcharge was very high. At dinner, neither juices nor cappuccinos are included. One of Movenpick's perks is a free 'sweet hour' from 3 PM to 4 PM, offering complimentary chocolate and pastries, but no water or drinks. All rooms (excluding villas) offer a sea view facing the sunrise (around 5:30 AM) (probably except for the 1st and 2nd floors).

The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. The beach was clean, the water was clear, and there were plenty of pools. The kids' entertainment program was fantastic, and the Vietnamese restaurant by the beach was also quite good. We were so lucky to have chosen this place. Next time, we'll definitely book an extra night.

We loved everything, especially the bed and pillows, and the beautiful view from the room. It would have been great if there was a handle on the outside of the balcony door; we struggled to open it! Haha. There are plenty of sun loungers on the beach, and bicycles are available. We only had breakfast, so we bought dinner, but for that price, we definitely couldn't finish it all, though everything was delicious. If you're looking for relaxation and tranquility, this place is perfect. There are slides and pools for kids. A lot of people stay here, but the main restaurant has two floors. There's nothing outside the hotel. Russian TV channels are available.

Wonderful hotel with a clean beach. Overall, it's a family-friendly and quiet place. They have a great foam party, chocolate hour, and lots of entertainment for kids (for an extra charge). A big thank you to the staff for the excellent room cleaning. However, there's one drawback: the extra bed for the child was never provided.
