A notch above. Condo interior desperately needs an uplift from the 1980s, but the security, seclusion and amenities Villa Montańa provides for such a small neighborhood is next tier. I would have liked more explanation about the room orientation to the water (ie walk time, view from front door, etc.), but nothing Google maps didn't help resolve. Very pet friendly. Not a place to go if you avoid dogs as many guests have their furry friends present. Only downside was overhearing pretentious guests with wildly selfish demands and disrespecting staff. Otherwise, a two minute walk to the beach with a drink in hand. Thanks Orlando at guest servoces for the donuts too!

Amazing place to stay especially if you're looking for a quiet place to chill and unwind. We loved the relaxed atmosphere around the hotel and could not have asked for cleaner or more comfortable apartment. Very well equipped and nice decor and it was so peaceful in the evenings. Beds were comfy too! The on-site restaurant is excellent and the beach is gorgeous. Staff all helpful and spoke English and Spanish. We stayed 5 nights but could have easily stayed 10!

Lovely, quiet propery on gorgeous beach. Super undevoped surroundings and miles of nearly deserted beach. Restaurant is excellent and service is very good. We'll be back!

The property appeared promising, but the room was outdated and did not match the online photos. The bathroom, in particular, seemed quite antiquated; the towels look dirty and the shower kept clogging. The balcony had 2 chairs but no table as other similar rooms had. We decided to leave early. The hotel adhered strictly to their policy and declined to provide a refund for the unused night.

I stayed here with my husband in a superior room, what can I say, the hotel was great, fantastic room, very large bed and the restaurants served high quality food with service to match. The amenities are excellent, we got up early most mornings to make the best of the snorkelling and booked a morning kite surfing. First time trying this and it was way more difficult than it looked ! They offer so many different options of water sports in the area, you couldn’t get bored. This was a bit of a wake up call to note how much time we are wasting with phones etc… discovering simple pleasures again was awesome. A perfect setting.

Great all round. Very quiet and relaxed pace here in beautiful surroundings. Good service and good accommodation. Everything was clean and looked up to date yet with charming character. The beach is fantastic and plenty of water based activities. There's golf nearby too. The hotel restaurant is high quality and you're best reserving ahead to secure a table at the time you want. Enjoyed a very nice fish dish and the bartender served super cocktails. We'd happily book to stay again.

The location of Villa Montana is fantastic and there are enough available activities to keep everyone busy if you don't just want to chill. Good accommodation in general. Great to spend some quality family time or if you were looking for a place to have a romantic break with your partner. We had a nice apartment with cooking facilities and a good social space. All very clean and the beds were good. It's a pretty quiet area so a good contrast and change to the city of San Juan or a busy resort like Puerto Vallarta for example. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant serves great food.

This hotel is so peaceful and such a lovely stay - the beach is glorious and the rooms are rustic but clean and big. The food is delicious although book a table in advance! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. A perfect quiet few days in the sunshine.
