When we arrived the car park was nearly empty and we thought we had arrived at the wrong place, also there were no signs saying Reception!
We eventually found the reception and thought the greeting was a bit frosty. We checked into our exec room which was excellent and looked out over the lake. The location is great for walks along the canal and there are several nice pubs within walking distance. Breakfast was basic but was cooked well and kept hot.
We would return again.

The hotel manager was abusive and ******. Started shouting at us when checking out because we were a bit late in checking out due to disruption by housekeeping. I have never witnessed such foul language and abuse by someone who is management in hospitality. This person should not be allowed to work in such environments. I have had to lodge complaints everywhere as she made me feel very threatened for no reason.

Excellent hotel, rooms very spacious and food was lovely. Couple of negatives were the old style keys could be replaced by more modern keys and could do with more toiletries in the rooms, but they are just little things.

We had a family room and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a great night sleep in the quiet room. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was great. The rooms could be modernised, however I would happily stay there again.

Staff generally disinterested from check in, breakfast, to checkout. Basic, dated rooms and decor. Limited dinner time and early bar close.
WiFi was okay 25mb/s. Ample parking. Pressure washer shower. Clean. Get what you pay for.

Room - Widow did not shut as it left a gap along the top and down the side where it should be shut. Curtains were hanging off one end and could not be put back as curtain fixings broken
