Super 8 by Wyndham Cambridge/Kitchener/Waterloo Area

The property is a bit dated. But the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was provided but was limited.

Great stay at fair price..

Rooms were nice enough a little out dated and need some repairs. Staff was great and the property is in a great spot! They do need another ice machine I found it was in an odd spot.

Checkin was smooth, staff polite. This hotel needs some work, I believe the manager is working on needed improvements. Halls smelled strong of very bad odours and the suite, although large, needed a redo. The second door had very inadequate door knob lock and at this point we did not feel safe and felt our planned two week stay would not feel comfortable. Due to a late cancelation I was charged, however upon having a conversation with the manager I was promptly refunded. This hotel provides assistance for the community shelter and staff seemed passionate in caring for the community’s most vulnerable.

We were booked for 17 nights. We stayed 30 min. Upon entering the rear door close to our suite, the smell of *********, cigarettes and urine was alarming. There were several characters hanging in the hall, separately, not typical of a hotel guests. It felt off. My husband was parking our vehicle close to the ground floor patio when I went in alone and found the room. It was rough looking. Lots visible wear, tear and damage. There were two doors in our suite. One with a deadbolt and regular hotel security lock. The other was a light lock in the door knob with no extra security latch as most have. We loaded our belongings in all the while feeling something wasn’t sitting right. Suddenly a male staff unlocked and attempted to open the door, of which I had the security latch hooked. He said he needed to come in to check the tv. We reluctantly opened the door. He. Picked up a water on the table saying he left it, turned the tv on and then off and left. This felt off. This is not normal staff behaviour. It didn’t feel safe. We checked out, cancelling our stay all together. Of course I was charged $200+ for the 30 minutes we were there. I have been since informed this is indeed an overflow shelter for the region, by social workers in the area. I have no issue with hotels offering to assist where needed, however if combining travellers within this complex, informed consent is a must. I have lodged a formal complaint with Wyndham. I want my $200+ back and I think Wyndham needs to be aware of how this privately owned franchise is keeping their property. Wyndham is a good brand and the reason we felt safe to chose this. DO NOT STAY HERE

My family and I stayed here for about a week when we were having troubles with our house. Not only did they treat us like family but the rooms were perfect for the whole family. Their suites are sweet - giving a private living room, kitchen combo away from the sleeping area; allowing little ones to go to bed in quiet while the grown-ups stayed up a bit. It was like having a tiny home away from home. It was perfect.

I don’t recommend, very poor quality and service ….?

The property could use a facelift and the rooms need painting and to be cleaner

Dirty towels all through halls staff was extremely noisy tv remote did not work burn holes in comforter they did not tidy our room breakfast was yougurt and banana with cereal that had no milk needs a lot of maintenance shower head coroted hair in bathroom sink would not ever recommend
