This hotel is not for families with young children, yes they have a soft play area but that’s about it. Meals times and food are not aimed at young children, no separate kids corner. The food is ok, I’ve definitely had better, but you get what you pay for. POOL Children are not allowed to breathe around the pool, they can’t do anything. I witnessed a family with an 3 year old baby been told she could not have a little rubber ring on to help her float. They tried to explain she didn’t like arm bands and the ring gave her a more confidence. They were simply told, arm bands or nothing. Kids couldn’t have any sort of flotation device in the pool or any sort of ball no matter how small. However this rule was ok to be broken by the hotel when they wanted to do some sort of aqua aerobics class, all of a sudden flotation device were allowed in the pool then. My little girl who’s 18 months old had one for those tiny tui balls that you can buy off the plane, I would say just a little bigger than a golf ball. I wasn’t as unlucky as some guest because the life guard didn’t notice on the first day. This was something I found frustrating about the life guard, he was very quick to jump on people for playing but at the same time he didn’t really watch anyone in the pool. He was too busy on his phone or talking to people. The atmosphere around the pool was terrible. I don’t blame him for following the rules, that’s down to the hotel and also tui should be making people aware of this when booking. I’m so glad I didn’t go to this hotel in august because children are also not allowed t-shirts on in the pool, lots of people like to put t-shirts on there children to protect them for the mid day sun. People with young children that like to play and enjoy themselves, don’t make the mistake I made. If you’ve already booked this hotel I would look at changing.
