The hotel is not on par with its 4 star rating and did not commensurate its room rates. I would give a maximum of three stars and, in some respects, just a budget hotel. There is no complimentary drinking water in the room. To get the water, we had to carry a glass jug, moved along the corridor, and went down a flight of stairs to the water station. There was no iron and ironing board in the room. The common ironing room is near the water station on the lower floor. This arrangement is very similar to those found in cheap budget hotels. Given that in the interests of environmental considerations, plastic bottles are not used, other respectable hotels normally prepare glass bottled water for guests. Breakfast was very bad. Most of the dishes were local, and choices were limited, especially for those not used to local food. The presentation was also very poor, with some food items just piled on top of one another. Coffee and tea were made in bulk and served from a big dispenser. Internet was also not stable. The main plus point is its location, walking distance from the bus station and Tanah Rata town centre where food outlets and some places of interest can be found.

The hotel offers free parking which is a great convenience. However, there is no designated lobby area for unloading luggage. Instead, guests need to go to Level 3 where the reception is located and request a bellboy to assist with their luggage. The bellboy will then accompany you to the basement parking lot. The staff at the hotel are exceptionally courteous and it's clear that the management has invested in good training. However, the amenities are not as well-maintained as one might hope. The corridor floors were not clean and upon entering the room there was a noticeable smell of old furniture. Additionally, the towels, bedsheets and pillowcases were no longer white indicating that it might be time for a revamp and replacement of these items. It’s a pity because the room itself is incredibly spacious and the view is truly magnificent. With some updates and better maintenance, this hotel could offer an even more enjoyable stay.

We chose this hotel for two reasons : the great location (smack in the middle of Tanah Rata town) and the price (an irresistible discount in view of the current covid19 situation). We were not disappointed. Our room was comfortable, adequate bedding, bottled water thoughtfully provided. We also liked the layout of the minimalist but adequately appointed bathroom with its limitless supply of hot water (very important in view of the cold wet weather). Our only complaint would be that there was a strong ammonia smell emanating from the toilet bowl. The water in the toilet bowl was also always slightly discoloured no matter how often we flushed it but as we were only staying a night, we weren’t too fussed. We did find it slightly disconcerting that the staff constantly made themselves quite at home on the sofas of the reception area but perhaps they’re the owners so it’s their style. Would definitely recommend the hotel at the current rates offered.

overall was good, but no iron+iron board board provided in room (need to go to the ironing station). also, the pillows were quite hard, not so comfortable to sleep with. plus, the karaoke sounds quite annoying, until late in the evening, maybe someone booked for entertainment doing work trip there.. anyway, good experience staying at this hotel..

Everything is perfect except for the size of the room. It’s too small for its price. I love the interior. It provides Netflix but sometimes internet connection was problematic too. Staff were great. They’re efficient and friendly. Delicious food for all breakfast lunch and dinner

It is a nice place to stay, to relax. It has a nice view, nice architecture, lovely decoration. But the weather of this place is quite cool or cold, so it will be greater to avoid of being wet much from the floor by having a barrier and the curtain to seperate the area for having bath from the one for face wash basin and toilet basin. Because of the fatigue of Trans Jasper hiking, also exposed to traffic congestion we chose to stay 1 more night. Tanah Rata to Kea Farm, Brinchang which should take only 15-20 minutes but becomes 2 hours. We went to Tanah Rata Night Market. ***One of the best efforts for chalet owners who use the existing space by producing a compact chalet with complete equipment. A cute chalet that only uses a queen size mattress, is equipped with a television, light suis, 3 sockets. Outside there is a shoe locker that has been provided with a toilet. Next to the chalet there is also a luggage/bag storage locker. Separate women and men's toilets. What I admire the most is that there are male and female surau separately as well. If you want to save money or stop by just to sleep for a while, you can stay here. If you want more comfort, you can book a room. The location is not far from Kea Farm Morning Market, there are also other interesting places. RECOMMENDED!***

2 bedroom style apartment with adequate amenities and good location with a few attractions within walking distance. Free parking, games for kids at lobby zone, welcome drinks. Short driving distance to Boh Tea Palas estate, great point if you plan to visit the tea plantation but worry about the traffic jams as this place is just 20 minutes drive away. Strawberry farm, Kea Farm is right around the bend and walking distance, super convenient.

Guided to our room on the first level, the well-preserved colonial cottage vibe of the building was evident. Entering our room was a moment of awe — spacious, luxurious, and adorned with all the necessary amenities. From robes and slippers to toiletries, a coffee machine, and tea provisions, every detail contributed to a comfortable and indulgent stay. The bed, akin to sleeping on clouds, was complemented by the unexpected comfort of a bolster. Opting to stay in for the evening, we dined at the sophisticated Dining Room. Despite initial skepticism from online reviews, the culinary experience exceeded expectations.We ordered: 1. Mushroom Soup - 9/10 it came with a baked parmesan that was a little stale. The soup itself was really thick and creamy. 2. Pumpkin Soup - 10/10 It was really delicious. Do note that it's on a sweeter side. 3. Australian Steak - 9/10 it was soft and tender, elements on the dish went well together. The flavour of the steak was really good, but I think it could use some salt. If you're not a huge eater, you can definitely share this dish with 2 pax. 4. Banana Crumble - 6/10 It was delicious but lack of bananas. 5. Chocolate lava cake - 10/10 We finished this plate clean. The chocolate lava was not too sweet, and it had the perfect consistency. Attentive staff further enhanced the dining experience. Returning to our room, we were pleasantly surprised to find the bed made, curtains drawn, and an ambiance set for bedtime. While personal belongings remained untouched, the thoughtful gesture added a unique touch to our stay. The ala-carte breakfast buffet, available in-room or at the Dining Room, presented a high-quality dining affair. Despite a limited menu, standout dishes included Roti Canai (10/10) with flavorful chicken curry and Nasi Lemak (10/10) featuring an exceptional sambal. Watermelon juice proved a refreshing choice, and the homemade strawberry jam with the bread was a delightful surprise. Cameron Highlands Resort offers a perfect retreat to unwind amid nature's beauty. While the stay was marred by minor inconveniences with the key card, the overall experience was superb, warranting a return for future restful escapes.

honestly,if you want to come in peak times (school holiday/weekend) better check in sharp on time. because the hotel system fails. either you book from trip,agoda,booking you must aware hotel can cancel your booking/replace your booking to another customer. in my previous situation,me and 3 other person,our booking cancel as we arrived there around 4-5pm after jammed. their rooms not much. their system should improvised. they provide soap only. my rooms got 1 fan.please change the mattress. you can feel the spring already. please change the water heater/shower water pressure.very slow. have a little stains on towel and bedding. dont forget bring your own mineral water/drinking water.they dont provide.
