Check in was delayed a little bit because they were short staffed of employees. The next day breakfast didn't happen because the employee didnt show up, but yet there were two employees at the front lobby just sitting there.

The hotel was quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi did not require a password, but be aware that the connection was poor and barely usable.
The breakfast was good, but all the hot meals (eggs, ham, boiled eggs, and waffles) ran out within an hour or so although breakfast hours was 6-9 am. We were unaware of this and ended up leaving for our hike with just two bananas and two cups of coffee on the 1st day. Good thing is MacDonald is almost next door.
The location is quite far from Sedona. Overall, it’s a quiet and pleasant hotel. If your main interest is exploring Montezuma Wells/Castle, then this hotel is highly recommended. However, if you’re looking to explore Sedona, it would be better to book a hotel in Sedona itself as this one is too far. In hindsight, I regret booking this hotel for that purpose.

No where on website was it mentioned hot tub / pool was not working or heated. Last morning no breakfast was available and no explanation as to why.

The front seat staff was kind, breakfast was nice (minimal seating), and the parking area was had several cameras all around, but once you got past the lobby all you saw was a place falling apart and dirty common areas (laundry room, hallways, lobby in each floor, stairwell. The only common area that was kept clean was the breakfast room. Staff areas were in full display. Trash cans in all areas were full at all times.
The rooms were not the cleanest, but the beds had fresh sheets and no bed bugs (I checked). The bathroom and sink walls were gross. The floors felt sticky. My family of 4 were not given enough towels (we only got two) so we went to request more and we couldn’t even get towels for all of us until the next day. We were not the only ones asking for extra towels either. We stayed 4 nights and the room was never cleaned even when we requested a cleaning. Said they clean every 3rd day. Very disappointed with this hotel.

The property was clean, pleasant and well maintained. The only downside was that the heated pool was closed but not advertised as such.

So far our stay has not been good. The wifi is horrible, the elevator is scary, something is wrong with the toilet so they sent us a plunger. 2 staff members said we could move to possibly get better wifi but then were told by another staff member that we couldn’t.
