The hotel boasts spacious, modern rooms with large beds and luxurious bedding, complemented by excellent service from friendly staff. However, it is considered overpriced for the quality and services offered. Its prime location provides convenient access to local attractions.

Food was amazing, the steak was one of the best I have had. The atmosphere was good, with nice décor and all the customers seemed to be having a relaxing time whilst eating and the staff were fab, service was very quick and all of our expectations were met.

This is a great hotel with an even better staff!! The rooms are huge, clean and very modern. The location is perfect for a visit to the distilleries and golf course. The staff is friendly, personable, and extremely helpful!! The bar and restaurant are amazing as well. I will definitely stay there again!!

Absolutely scandalous pricing and certain members of the restaurant staff were clearly not trained to handle customer service relations , I seen countless parties turned away by a young waitress after alleged booking over sights , I watched on in disbelief no accommodation was made for these parties and the potential revenue they would bring

Overall, this is a well-situated hotel right opposite the harbor and the rooms are clean and of good size. However, it is expensive and many of the staff need more customer service training. Our room (21) was a corner room which looked right onto the harbor and both it and the bathroom were larger in size than I was expecting. Comfortable bed and big fluffy towels were a plus but due to the customer service experience and the price, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Staying in the area to play golf we decided to eat here one evening.. Having been told they were completely full and could only offer 6;30 we agreed, however it was half full when we arrived and less than half full when we left.. While the product was average/ok the service and value were very poor and dillussional. Haven eaten well all over the world i have never before seen a menu stating steaks were 'market price', an yes i truly do intimately understand the current price of good meat... It was obvious we were golfers from out of town when the self important Mgr told us at the table that the 'market price' for steaks was £55 for a fillet and £45 for a Rib Eye... which would be expensive in the finest steak house of New York or London... We later overheard her giving a completely different price to a nearby table of locals.. When we declined her kind offer and odered something modest by the menu pricing, we were then told for the first time that they would need the table back by 8;00..and the service thereafter was truly negligent.. Unbelievably stupid and shortsigted to think that golf visitors will likely never be back and therefor can be taken for fools with more money than sense... They desreve to be a quiet as they were, and not really suprising that campbeltown is struggling so much with business vision such as this.

Stayed here for one night on 3.10.22 with my sister . The booking via the phone was easy, pleasant and arranged very quickly . We arrived quite late as travelling through from Ayrshire but had a friendly warm welcome from Caroline at reception , offered a meal in bar or restaurant - we opted for the bar where we had first class service from a young man whose name we didn’t catch - sorry ( excellent customer service, looked after us so well !) , a delicious pizza with wine , just what we required after a long drive in awful weather . Our rooms were huge , great harbour views , massive beds with the most comfortable mattress . Rooms were beautifully appointed . Very peaceful and had an excellent quiet night’s sleep . Breakfast fine - table service , bacon lovely . Buffet table with juices / cereals etc . Would definitely choose this hotel again if staying in Campbeltown . Not cheap but well worth the price we felt esp as we had single occupancy with a room each . Can highly recommend .

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights whilst playing golf at Macrahanish. First thoughts were that the hotel room was nice, clean and comfortable, if a bit old fashioned. Actually better than expected. However it is perhaps a tad expensive (very expensive for what you get. I've stayed in far better around the world for much less). Considering there is not much else around and Campbeltown has seen "better days", it's probably priced at a level for the tourists who have come over for the golf. Things did start to go wrong later though. Our table reservation for dinner that we phoned in prior to arriving wasn't taken and we had to wait a bit for a table to become available. Food was OK, if a bit pub grub style. certainly not fine dining. Our first morning breakfast was good and set us up for the golf. Then came the second problem. The next morning we were informed that breakfast wasnt incuded in our rate and that we would have to pay (neither reception when we checked in or the staff at breakfast the first morning mentioned this). We checked our booking (through ***********) and indeed breakfast was included. After a bit of an argument the hotel indicated that there was a recurring issue with *********** and that they should not have stated that breakfast was included in the price (who is actualy at fault here and why hasnt it been resolved if they know there is an issue ????) In the end the hotel relented and we got our breakfast included as per the booking.... but the discussion at the table that morning was both embarrasing and needless. It wasn't the most pleasurable experiences to finish off our stay. It didn't help when they got the breakfast orders wrong as well ! One point to note, for the most part, the staff are all very friendly but very young and still need to learn a little about customer service. The issue at breakfast could and should have been resolved a little more discretely, if a manager were on hand for the discussion. Summarising - a nice comfortable hotel but well overpriced. Service needs to be improved and the issue with *********** with respect to breakfast being included needs to be resolved !
