We had the most wonderful stay at the Bella Ella Bed and Breakfast! I stayed in Ella’s room and relaxed in the luxurious jacuzzi tub after a long day of hiking. Breakfast every morning was delicious and each day was something different and exciting. Jeri Lou was the perfect host giving us space to do our thing but being very responsive and attentive when needed. She also helped us with recommendations for local things to do and places to eat. I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to friends!

We stayed in this B&B for two days and never met the hostess. She communicated with us only through text messages. Our breakfast was placed on a small buffet table in a dark, dingy room at the entrance. There wasn't a dining room so we had to take our food outside and eat on our laps. For 4 people, the breakfast included coffee, tea and orange juice, with only cream available, no milk, a plate of cut up watermelon and cantaloupe and two large breakfast wraps with egg, sausage and bbq sauce, cut in half. No toast, muffins or breads of any kind. The next day's breakfast consisted of the same cut up fruit and a pan of eggs with cut up peppers and some kind of meat. It was covered and left for us and another couple and became watery. She also left us cut up and buttered blueberry bagels that were stacked on top of each other and dried out. We were shocked because the pictures we saw online showed such lovely breakfasts. I only wish we had taken pictures to add to this review to validate how terrible it was. Then everything was cleaned up and there was nothing set out or available the rest of the day. We couldn't get a cup of tea or coffee or even water with ice. It was such a disappointing experience. We might as well of stayed in a hotel. We would never recommend staying at this B&B and caution that the online pictures do not reflect a realistic depiction of what is actually offered.

They canceled our reservation 3 days before our stay. They said because the owners were in an accident. I feel bad for them and wish a speedy recovery. You still have to conduct business the right way. Sending nasty text messages don’t help. I think they should sell the place if they can’t run it correctly. Hopefully, someone with more money than me sues them for their accusations through text message. I just wanted my money back. I’m not Rockefeller. I would stay clear of this place. Much nicer places to stay through Airbnb

This B&B was great. The location is good, the staff were very attentive and the breakfast was amazing. I wish we could have stopped by during warmer weather. I’d recommend these folks for sure. They made us feel welcome. The room was full of antiques and was a great way to immerse yourself in the past.

We were underwhelmed by the room size and amenities. The booking page said it was a 250sq ft room w a private bathroom, and that rooms w private bathrooms have a fireplace and bathrooms w a jetted tub. We booked thru *********** there was only 1 room type listed. At check in we were told the bathroom was actually across the hall thru a door. That was disappointing because we had to get dressed each time we went to use it. Like other reviewers, the lighting was very dim at night, and the metal springs in the bed made rolling over in between the cuckoo clock going off even worse. Next, the room was 15x9 - less than 150 sq feet! Not the 250 Sq feet in the ad. We were in town for real estate so we had a tape measure. Lastly. there is a very loud cuckoo clock outside the room that went off at the top of each hour, waking us up EVERY TIME. I messaged the host but it was 3am when we finally had enough of it. In the morning we Iet the owner know everything and she was appreciative of the feedback and changed the listing to not have a bathroom en suite, adjusted the size to 150 Sq feet etc. I have screenshots of them w the original advertising. *********** saw the evidence I showed them and requested that they refund us based off the false advertising and the changes they made. Had we known there was no real private bathroom and the room was ,smaller than listed we would not have stayed here. We travel often and this was our least favorite stays at B n B's. Owner is very defensive.

I only stayed one night thankfully and left early the next morning without breakfast (which was buffet style, not the most sanitary), I felt so uncomfortable. As someone said there was only one extension cord or if you did like me with acrobatics dug that cord from behind the bed to use while sitting in bed with my iPad, unless one wanted to sit at a small wooded desk. I read other reviews about the noisy AC so decided to forgo that and open a window. Heck, there was no screen on the window and I wasn’t in the mood to sleep with bugs. And yes as others, my bathroom was around the corner in the hallway. I think what really topped everything off was in the bathtub there was a used community soap bar - ugh. I believe there was a makeup remover packet and an unused Dial soap bar but no other toiletries provided other than community bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the tub. I had stayed at an A++ bed and breakfast prior to this one and the thoughts to make the guests comfortable and relaxing was unbelievable. This one seemed as if she was just collecting the money

We relaxing. We enjoyed the property and the surrounding area very much. It is a nice place to go for some quite time alone. We spendt time at the horse races, shopping, restaurants and on the property, The only thing we were disappointed in was the breakfast. It would have been nicer if the dinning room was open. At this time only the front room and the porch was open to eat in, but that may have been due to covid restrictions. The hostess was very nice and accomadating.

Once I got into my room, I debated leaving and getting a hotel room nearby. I did not realize when I booked my room that it was a shared bathroom. Fortunately no one else was sharing it with me at the time. There was only one electrical outlet to use. There were two extension cords for the lamps but they could only accommodate the lamps. No place to set the suitcase other than the floor. No surfaces in the room to place anything except for the desk which is completely unnecessary. The windows had no shades and curtains from the middle of the window down. Same thing in the bathroom! The bathtub was filthy. I could go on but you get the gist. During my visit, I saw the owner for about a minute when she brought in the breakfast casserole.

The Bella Ella is a charming old farm house with warm, cozy rooms, the perfect place for a romantic weekend get-a-way. The breakfast was delicious with a warm entrée, fruit, pastries, juice, and freshly brewed coffee. The location was only minutes from downtown Canandaigua and was a great location for a day of visiting wineries and breweries. We will definitely stay there again.
