An absolutely wonderful stay at 1840 Inn. The Inn and rooms are perfectly appointed and extremely comfortable. The breakfasts were superb. Adele is a perfect hostess, meeting our every wish including gluten free. The location is perfect to walk to the lake and to other sights. The rooms had everything you could think of you would need from beautiful linens to soaps and other amenities. The Inn was a wonderful place to relax with friends.

I spent one night at the Inn on the Main in Canandaigua and it was great. The room was beautiful and very clean. The breakfast was one of the nicest I have had at a B&B. The owner and staff were great. I strongly recommend this place.

We stayed two nights to attend a local concert and visit sights around the Finger Lakes region. Our suite was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and the bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home with me! Breakfast, and the baked treats that magically appeared in the late afternoons were delicious. Everyone there was friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. We will definitely be back!

We spent one night here in July. The inn is beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. Breakfast was incredible, and the hostess was friendly and accommodating.

Wonderful stay at the Inn. Hosts couldn’t be more accommodating. Rooms were comfortable and charming. Breakfast was amazing. Best scone I’ve ever had!! Definitely recommend.

What a wonderful two nights! My best friend and I travelled to Canadaigua to see a concert. We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast and it was PERFECT. The breakfast was absolutely delicious (homemade) and the owner was so kind. Very relaxing, coffee was delicious and felt very personal. The decor is very charming and the location was 10 minute walk to town. We spent one afternoon at Willowbrook spa - which gives you access to the amenities at the Lakehouse. If you are looking for a home-like stay with personal touches but also want to relax at a pool/spa this is the perfect combination! Thank you Adele, we will be back!

Third time staying at this wonderful B&B! Very convenient to all of Canandaigua's restaurants and shops. The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast has been very tasty and filling each time. Adele is a wonderful hostess who makes sure that her guest's needs are met without being intrusive. The pre-check in recommendation that you have a dinner reservation if you want to dine out is well worth heeding!

We stayed at the Inn during a time of personal loss, which brought us to the area. It would be difficult to say how very gracious and kind Adele, the innkeeper was to us. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate: decorated perfectly to suit the original history but with very nice touches that are modern. Comfy robes are provided along with snacks and chocolates, along with special homemade treats in the evening. The breakfasts are mouthwatering and served in a thoughtful and elegant manner. Adele went out of her way to accommodate us and made a very difficult weekend much, much nicer. I highly recommend the Inn to anyone who wants to stay in a lovely place that has many amenities and truly delectable food, along with a gracious and helpful Innkeeper. We will be back!
