The Waves

Good stay for the price. Beds were great. We were able to cook but limited. Very noisy from people upstairs. You can’t help who stays above you, but walls very thin and we had a difficult time falling asleep. Great location, and everything within a walkable distance. We loved that about this small place.

First of all, you greeted at the front desk in a very friendly manner and check in takes all 30 seconds. Our room, which we had stayed in previously, is absolutely perfect. It includes refrigerator, microwave, and stove, top and sink, so if we felt like cooking anything we could. The tub and shower combination is perfect because it is so nice to soak in a bath. the room set up is cute and cozy with a fireplace, sweet little twin bed in the corner, and a wonderful porch that is sheltered from the wind, but is oceanfront. I could sit there all day! This really is a quintessential old time property, but is in very good repair and just screams cozy and comfortable . It is walkable to shops and restaurants and all in all the perfect place for an Oregon coast getaway cannot wait to return.

Stayed in a Southwind King Studio with an ocean view and balcony. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but efficient and the shower was great. The water pressure was outstanding, and the showerhead produced a nice full spray. The towels were ok. The stairway wasn't well lit. While the room had skylights to augment lighting the stairway didn't. Maybe it was a timer issue but it would've been nicer if they started working earlier in the day. Right downtown and by the beach. Great place, friendly staff.

What a great place to stay. We felt at home with a comfortable room, fireplace, kitchen, and private porch. We could see the ocean and an easy walk to many restaurants. The staff was very accommodating to ensure we felt at home. If you want to enjoy Cannon Beach the Waves is the place to stay.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom southwind spa suite. It was amazing! Large bedroom with comfortable bed and TV. This also had a separate balcony area. Separate room off the bedroom with a 2 person jacuzzi, a separate shower and toilet that is also separate from the 2 sink bathroom vanity. Full kitchen with all the amenities and utensils you would need to cook. Large refrigerator as well. The living room had a fireplace and a TV. Living room has another balcony that is also another exit and leads to the beach. Partial view of the ocean at an angle. We’ve already made reservations for next week to spend a couple nights in the ocean front Heron suite worth every penny.

Cozy king suite with a gas fireplace and ocean views. I would definitely stay again.

Unfortunate experience - arrived for three night stay on a weekend when storm and power loss were anticipated. The hotel even had a flyer with information; however when we arrived in room we only had one fireplace log for our three night stay, one of the lanterns (for power outage) did not work, and thermostat would not work as it was flashing “needs battery”. Room only had no extra rolls of paper towels and because there was no way to take out any garbage, we were told to “put the trash bag outside and a staff member will pick it up” (that sat there for three days and was never picked up). went and purchased $50 in additional fire logs as we anticipated that may be our only source of heat. (In the end we had no power for about 7 hours). TV/cable set up did not work but maintenance assisted promptly. Front desk triple charged us for the remaining balance and I am still trying to work this out with them now 6 days later!
