I normally don't write reviews for hotels other than when they prove really good or terribly bad. However, our experience with this property was both, so it gets a ”middle of the road” mark. First, the bad: musty ordor in the room led me to discover the wet carpet near the AC that grew larger as time went by. Second, my wife came out of the shower to discover the hair-dryer did not work. Third, after requesting a replacement, it did not work either! And, fourth, by the time we returned from dinner, the growing stench and flooded carpet required us to move to another room for the rest of the night--causing us to pack everything back up and transfer to the new room. Now the good: The one staff person at the desk was gracious & apologetic for the problems and offered the room transfer, which we accepted because she found one adjacent to where we were making it an easy move. Also, the bed was good, room clean, and breakfast the next morning terrific---so no more complaints. For the price of the stay, it turned out good enough.

The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. The employees were polite and helpful. All the amenities were in place. I was having gallbladder surgery the next day, and wanted to be close so as to not have to get up at the crack of dawn for an early morning surgery. I thought it was pleasant, and the rates were very reasonable. One way in or out after dark, so I felt safe. Four out of five stars ⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️
