quite room and comfortable for the stay

Room really tired, shower cap hanging up in bathroom that had been previously used. Sofa was a plastic leather look and was ripped and worn. My bed cover had loads of stains on it which was gross. Carpets stained. Night stand was sticky. Just didn’t feel clean. I was cold all night and duvet very thin. Ok for one night but if I had booked for two nights I wouldn’t have stayed for sure. Noisy. Please be warned that lift doesn’t start working until after 8.30am and I had to walk down the two flights leaving elderly family member at the top at 8.40am to ask why lift wasn’t working. We had a family commitment to get to and my two family members I was with would have struggled down the stairs and I couldn’t help them and carry luggage. No one could find the keys and this would definitely prevent me staying again. What if someone needed an ambulance in the night…no one at reception to ask. On a plus staff I met with very friendly and helpful.

Reading reviews before we booked, we were a bit concerned by reports of the noise coming through the thin walls but, apart from a bit of conversation at about midnight (which could have been from the car park below), we were not troubled. We had an early funeral the next day followed by a drive to the other side of London, so we wanted to be well rested. The double room was big and there was actually room for a couple of easy chairs or a settee in addition to the 2 dining chairs, which would have enhanced the furnishings. Also, incidentally, plenty of room to build a false wall to cut down on the complaints about noise. (Probably too expensive?) The room was clean and had all we needed, except that the wifi came on and then disappeared. I agree with those who have said the TV was a bit small but that was not a big issue for us. On arriving we decided to reserve a table in the restaurant and were not disappointed. Although no-one had a starter, we were impressed by our mains and desserts. My coffee was very good, and I'm very fussy about it. Despite the notice saying you had to book breakfast the night before, we were told we could just turn up; so we did and had the toast and cereal option, which was perfectly good enough for us. The 8.30 start was a bit late, but just enough time for us before we had to leave at 9 o'clock. The funeral was not going to be a big one and was too early in the day for a typical wake, but the staff were kind enough to reserve a space for us to come back for tea and coffee, and they made us a cake. So they treated us well, and we would go back.

The only thing i would suggest is for the tiny tv's to be upgraded to at least a 32 inch size totally brings disappointment to a nice place to stay.

The car park is poorly lit and poorly signed so it was unclear where to park. The corridor to the room smelt of smoke, the room was basic and we found a tooth on the floor. The bathroom towel rail didn't work, the shaving light above the mirror didn't work and the shower was tepid. The walls are so thin I could hear next-door snoring, someone's alarm going off uninterrupted at 4am and another going off from 8am at 10 minute snooze intervals. On the plus side, the 3 staff members we spoke to were pleasant, although no offer of recompense was proffered despite the above feedback directly.

Had a terrible nights sleep due to our family room being over the function hall which had incredibly loud music until 0036. Restaurant had decent food with very helpful staff but wouldn’t want to stay here again.

The hotel and staff were amazing and we could not fault the service however there was a function below us which the music was extremely loud until 1am meaning we didn’t not get much sleep there were also guests screaming and fighting at 2am after there function was over which was not ideal at all which made our night away not so pleasant

It was just ok. Basic.

Because the staffs were so nice
