Very disappointing experience. We booked through ******* and chose a 2 queen limited ocean view. The room assigned to us was the worst room in the hotel, with a view that had No view except the bushes and side of the condo beside it, the very back of the hotel. No view. (forget limited view!). We spent an hour trying to get the front desk to change our room. My husband is disabled and 80 and it was Father's Day weekend. We hobbled around and they finally gave us a room with a great view on the third floor but insisted we pay extra, plus fees and taxes. That room had not been rented in months because the A/C was so noisy it was unbearable. The clock on the side table still registered the time B4 daylight savings time. We called front desk and the night desk came up and veriifed it and told us he would move us to the room below (which was supposedly RENTED as we had been told they had a full house). We slept not at all. Next morning we moved ourselves again with no help. We were there for three days so the luggage was substantial. Unpacked, repacked and moved. I filed a complaint with ******* and they were very wonderful in helping us out with our complaint. We checked out Tuesday morning and today, five days later, there is still a Pending charge on my credit card for 100.00 from LaMer. I called them and they could not find my account, and wanted to call me back. Instead, I called my bank and they removed the HOLD. This is a beautiful facility with so many fine positives. But, based upon how we were treated, needlessly, we will never stay there again and could not ever recommend it to anyone. They KNEW they gave us a horrible room, tricked us into another horrible room and charged us extra, and only when the night desk person stepped in did we get results. Probably one of if not the last Father's Day we will have for my husband since he is so ill. So unkind and unnecessary.
