Grand Hotel Cape May

We had a great stay! It was really nice that when we got there at 11:00 and check in was not until 3:00 they let us do a soft check in so we could use the pool, beach tags, and parking! The hotel is nice and updated. The carpet in they room could have been better.

Beautiful hotel and lovely sea views. Our room has a nice fridge & microwave combo and was clean as a whistle. Front desk exceptional and organized. Hemingway restaurant service excellent and food also excellent. Don't miss the crab cakes and seafood risotto. While there are scads of great choices, this hotel has an indoor pool and an attached restaurant open for 3 meals. (But the portions are so large you may want to save half for lunch the next day). Also the beach tags are included in season (don't lose it. $125 fee if not returned). There are some nice activities for the kids and a pool/bar with music. More of a resort than only a hotel. We've been several times and this so now our go to.

The suite was perfect for four women. The beach area right across from the hotel is accessible and has chairs and towels and umbrellas. Staff was awesome. Restaurant is great. We had a wonderful HS reunion group get together. Great bang for the buck! Will be back. Thank you!

Awesome hotel, beautiful, right across from the beach, and a great price! Stayed only one night since we were there for the USCG graduation, but wish we stayed longer!

Bedside light and electrical outlet and usb outlet not working

The view was amazing, the hotel was great. Colin, the cabana boy with our umbrellas and chairs at the best , he's the most friendliest staff member to deal with at 9 am! But I will be honest, I felt I was being chased out of the hotel when it came time for checkout- Housekeeping came into our room twice (while we had our do not disturb sign out) and it was 9 am in the morning. They didn't know, they walked right in on me. There were literally waiting at the door for us to leave at 11:00 at the dot. Additionally, there has to be a better way w/ the tightness of the small hallways and the housekeeping carts . We couldn't get a luggage cart/caddy down the same hallway where a housekeeping cart was located (we did call out for them but no one answered). Another improvement I would like to see - I think the townhomes/rooms would benefit from having a small broom and brush b/c of the sand being tracked around. Also, while this is an amazing place - our check in could have been better. We were two hours before check in (our fault) and stood in line for an hour.. and then, told they would text us our room number.. They never asked for our number, confirmed our number.. we left on an excursion, came back and had to wait in a line for about another hour just for a room number. As we were part of a conference being help there and we all booked way out in advance, I would have hoped they were prepared.

When booking hotels, my first priority is cleanliness, and The Grand Hotel was especially clean. Great location, and the beach amenities that come with the room are fantastic. Hemingway's Restaurant also good for food and drink Be sure to check out their specials. Parking available on location.

We held our beach wedding at The Grand Hotel in late May. The entire process was amazing thanks to their wedding planner Katlyn. She helped us through planning, identifying vendors, and day of hand holding. The wedding was perfect! All of our guests were blown away. The food was so good and Hemmingway's was a great place to unwind after our reception was over. All of our guests want to come back!
