Cape Trib Beach House

Calming, simple decor with comfy beds. Slept so well here. They are doing a great job of getting up to being fully operational after the cyclone. Go support the people of The Daintree who despite their significant set backs are there to welcome visitors with a warm hospitality again. The reef snorkeling tour with Ocean Safari was very professionally run with a focus on creating a great guest experience. Only 40 minutes from shore to the reef from Cape Trib.

The Chef was so drunk in the kitchen. Spoke to manager he said I was delusional. The town said he only hires drunks . 🥴 it was a strange place. No one really had anything nice to say about where to eat or stay. The only place recommended was shut down . And apparently had karaoke 🎤 and laughter and happiness there. I told the manager at the beach house that his chef yells and we saw him drinking alchole. But he said I don't even care when my partner complain s about the chefs I hire i still dont care. As long as they look like they are working I will hire them. My partner or the girl in the office that have worked here along time . Have no idea. I herd latter on in the town that he also steels and rips off people and will lie to the owners. But who knows maybe all the owners are at war against each other and just make up lies. This is just what I herd. I say no reception no respect it's not worth going there. You will see more in the Daintree.

Great room. Depending on what room you have it could get a little noisy if you have noisy neighbors since some have 3~4 rooms sharing walls. The Tide Resturants is amazing one of the best food we have had. We got the special, crispy salmon and chefs bowl with barramundi. So good so we had it again the next night. Non of the other Resturants open for dinner looked that great.

Enjoyed our stay. Easy beach access and a wonderful restaurant. Food was excellent. Great chef and lovely service from the staff.

Excellent check in service after hours. Good plans and key retrieval. No towels in room on arrival. Took a bit of pressure on restaurant staff to rectify this, but then service exceptional. Food very good at the restaurant! Superb location. Would have stayed a second night but the beds were not good!

Unique setting in a wonderful location. The restaurant exceeded our expectations.

I loved the quietess of the property, the room was clean, bed so comfortable, loved the shutters that blocked out the light. Access into the pool was poor for older visitors

Lovely area to stay. Lovely staff - especially at the restaurant. Shame the bathroom was not very clean with mould in the shower. A little run down and not clear in the description of the property that they do have tea and coffee making facility in the room. Would recommend the breakfasts starting earlier or 7am instead of 8am, but overall a very lovely place to stay.
